So here's the story. Two of friends I just recently convinced to get into 40k. One wants to play Grey Knights, the other, Daemons. Since we will be playing together alot and it is no fun getting beat every time, I was wondering if anyone could provide tactics that would aid a daemon army agaisnts Grey Knights.

I play chaos and am only partly familiar with the daemon codex. Any tips and tricks would be very much appreciated

to be frank, the Deamon player is at a severe disadvantage.

Generic Deamon advice is to have both waves of your army be roughly the same troops.

Grey Knights, not the least because of a new book, are going to have an easier time then the older deamon codex.

have the GK player not run any strike squads. that will at least allow the Deamons to have a chance.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Go first to prevent strike squads from casting warp quake and getting to mid field. Otherwise you're pretty much screwed... Stay away from dark excommunication. It probably wont be on a librarian, but watch out for coteaz, he will be in a lot of lists and comes iwth it. Other than that, try to survive the psy cannon fire and just throw stuff at him until he dies. Grey knights pay a lot of points for their force weapons; take things that make those points wasted such as seekers.

Use Khorne daemons. Charge them, fast. Be ballsy. Be fast. Take calculated risks.
