Not mentioned in INAT FAQ or GW FAQ. If a Trukk is immobilized, how does one resolve the Ramshackle effect of the Trukk? Does it still move? Anyone know of any sort of standard that tournaments use in regards to this?

If it cannot move, it does not.

I have never seen it played otherwise.

Ramshackle only applies to destroyed results. Immobilised isnt either...

I think the OP was asking what happens to an already immobilised Trukk if receives a 'destroyed' result.

Immoblized Trukk. Still has Boyz in it. I shoot it with a Rocket. I roll a Pin. I roll a result of 4 + 1 for Open-Topped so I get a Destroyed (Wrecked) result. He rolls on Ramshackle. He rolls kareen. He now rolls the scatter dice for a random direction and moves it that many inches. Except... that it is immoblized. Does it still actually move?

Kirsanth:

Then, if he rolls a Kareen result on Ramshackle and the Trukk is already immoblized, do we just ignore it and the Boyz just do a disembark as though it just wrecks like normal?

EDIT:

Yeah, sorry. I wasn't really clear on what I was talking about. I mean if the Trukk is immoblized and I shoot it again and he rolls a Kareen! result on the Ramshackle table.

Kareen!(which you ar probably refering to) is a forced move, and still applies to immobilized vehicles, like a magna-grappler or a monolith deep striking onto it. "May not move" is not the same as "May not be moved".

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.

Excepting Kareen is not "is moved" but rather "Move". Also the kareen rules do take this into account with the following 4 words: "As far as possible" it is not possible to move when you are immobilized so therefore you move not at all.

Also OP: after you move not at all, you apply the Kaboom result as specified in the Kareen rules(so the unit does not just disembark)

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

I would probably let people move it though, on count of it being blown away by the explosion =) Although I understand the rules and would have no problem playing it either way.

Though this is an Ork trukk we're talking about. There's every chance that the hit that wrecked it jarred loose (or jarred tight) the thing that was keeping it Immobilized, and the driver, with his foot still on the gas, was caught off guard when it started to move again.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

...or the shot detonated some fuel tank or weapon ammo crate, and the blast sends the trukk off in whatever direction before detonating furthar....

i would go either way on this. fluff wise its easy to see it happening... rules wise its vague. ramshackle overrides normal destroyed/wrecked results, and can sometimes force a move. but the "as far as possible" line would seem to indicate it moves 3d6" as far as possible....if its immobilized 0 is its max, so maybe thats the right answer. nothing in the FAQ or rules to clarify tho, so just dice it off with whoever you play with to decide.

The FAQ actually tells us that Kareen! is forced movement.

Q. If a Trukk suffers a ‘Kareen!’ result, what
happens if the random movement forces it into
friendly models or off the table?
A. The vehicle stops as soon as it comes into
contact with friendly models or the table’s edge.

Forced movements are required to be taken by even immobile models, as the game would otherwise break on multiple occasions.

Not at all true, "Forced Movement" does not equate to "being moved". You can "be moved" to any spot on the table via some special effect/rule, no matter what you state/status is. You cannot be forced to move when you cannot move; this does go back to specific overrides general; and "cannot move" is more specific than "Moves 3d6" in a random direction"

The Trukk moves 3d6, as far as possible, in a random direction.
Intervening units, impassible terrain, board edge, and immobilization can all cut that movement short.

Though if it did work the other way, I could see some pretty hilarious circumstances, where the opponent just ignores a Trukk he's immobilized on the first turn, and the Ork player purposely tries to damage it, with Bomb squiggs or a Warphead or something, to get it to Kareem!.

Actually, that begs a question. Can a player shoot or attack one of their own units?

No, you only have permission to target ENEMY units.

unless you scatter a blast weapon onto friendly units... so you could potentially target a blast weapon close to the trukk, and hope for a *good* scatter...

Thanks for the response guys. Hate it that it is not clear. I can see the argument for both sides.
