Yes you read the title correctly. Why do people consider the Daemons to be good guys. I simply find them to be another wave of flesh eating monsters. A sad fact of the warhammer 40k universe is that their is no one in that cursed galaxy is "good". As they are either daemon worshiping aliens, ultra-nationalist Fascists who enslave people and genocide against Aliens or just insane crazies people who want to fight or kill.

Is it because the Daemons are all controlled by Chaos gods? If it is I shake my head and cry for why modern humans are so politically correct or sensitive? Almost everyone in 40k are either xenophobic, insular or peaceful to outsiders but are not interested in talking or trading with them.

Is it because the Daemons want to bring peace to the galaxy by eating everyone? If it is I . The Daemons are not the only ones who want to bring peace to the galaxy by killing everything. If we go by that logic the Tyranids are just as "good" and "peaceful" as the Daemons. The Necrons also want to kill everything and the Dark Eldar only live to torture things. I could easily think of far more pure evil races like the Tau. They want to re-educate people and have thought-crimes. Daemons don't care what you think and you're completely free to think whatever you want. The Eldar are as just evil as Tau, they are incredibly arrogant and even work with the socialist Tau and the Fascist Imperium to save their own race. You cannot be more self-fish than that. The Daemons are not self-fish or arrogant, they just want food.

So can anybody tell me why people gush over the Daemons and think they are good guys?

ps: I don't consider Daemons to be Evil just a lesser form of evil just like the Tyranids and Necrons.

Promises of freedom from the opression of the Imperium, so they make promises to the Chaos Gods for thier souls so that they can earn the things they promise. Each Chaos God has a somewhat "redeeming side"

For Khorne, its Martial Strength and Bravery
For Nurgle, its Immortality and Nurgles Fatherly Love
For Tzneetch, its intelligence and masterful plans
For Slaanesh, its pleasure and a "high" feeling

So the Dark Gods warp the minds of those vunerable, and then they see the Daemons as liberators I guess. Like you said, no one is the "Good" guy out there in 40k.

Read the Horus Heresey series, it kindof helps you to see why people would turn to chaos.

Why? Daemons just want to meet new people and eat them. They don't care what you think and only kill because they are being controlled.

Daemons are not evil, they are just as evil as Tyranids are. Would you say bugs eating for food evil?
