So I'm gonna start building an IG list for an escalation league at my local store. It starts at 750 pts I believe and I'm trying to figure out a good list to start with that wont totaly destroy my bank account off the back. I already have a female commissar I ordered online and a Sentinal that I bought a few years ago for a scrapped project that I've made to look like an armored one but has no weapons attached yet. Any suggestions for a good starting list would be very helpful. I'd like to try and have at least one Leman Russ from the start for heavy support against bigger things

Wow an IG army that isn't going to break the bank. Well I've looked at some mech and air cav lists and I'm looking at $250-$300 just for a 1k force. So I would say your best bet is infantry based. Well we get a discount while int he league so its not super bad I just wanna build up slowly and still have a good army. I mean a chimera and squad cost out to about a tank actually more so its about the same cost I guess both ways.

It really depends on the style of play you want, if your going to go infantry based expect to have 100+ infantry for a 1500 point game. There are a lot of different styles of play, but remember, the IG are good for always having multiple of the same thing.
