I am about halfway through this book and I'd have to say it's a very good read. Nick Kyme is becoming one of my favorite authors. He took a huge leap with the Necrons fluff. He gave them personality not to give anything away basically the "main" necron characters have "flashback" to from before they were Necrons

It's a good book I enjoyed it greatly, and normally i'm not too fond of the Black Library's Marine books, as they tned to be a bit 'marines hurr-- we block lascannon with an outstretched palm' .

Not spoilering the endings, but the fluff was interesting.

FoD was very interesting... There wasn't a single thing about the Necrons that I didn't like, they were amazing.

Eye of Terror... I think

IDK while I agree he advanced the view of the necrons a great deal and gave them personalities... I didnt imagine them squabbaling like Dark Eldar, or feeling fear (which it mentions the lords feel fear in a couple places), and I dont like how they arent any better than tyranids now. If you kill the lord they all go slowed? dumb. Even tyranids without there connection to the hive mind are a huge threat, necrons just defend themselves and shuffle around without the sentience of the necron lord. I dont like that image but thats just my opinion.
