So, this will be my first try at a mech guard army. Some help on improving would be lovely.

It comes to 1750 pts spot on.

k there's going to be alot of rolls for get's hot so maybe some flammers with one or two of the vet squads so if you do have a hord army you can kill lots other then that great

Dakka frowns upon arming vets with flamers It's basically wasting their bs 4 on template weapons. But I could always swap out the heavy bolters on the chimeras for a heavy flamer, to deal with hordes, I guess.

No but seriously, why so much plasma? 4 chimeras and 2 heavy executioners worth. Do you regularly fight deathwing at a 2000pts handicap?

What else can I take except the Plasma guns. Grenade launchers won't pack that much punch. Plus, lots of plasma is fun. If I fight space marine (of any kind) I will need the plasma to crack their power armor.

I'm not that sure with my Heavy choices yet. I heard some bad things, and some really good things on a pasquisher. Same on the executioners.

Yeah I guess you'll have it pretty easy against most marine armies at least.

You still need to crack tanks though, two chimeras worth of melta is easily intercepted and after that you're down to the sentinels and vanquisher.

What if I change it from three plasma squads and 2 melta squads into two plasma squads and three melta squads? Not a big change, but it might enhance my chances. I do get 15 pts to spare if I pull this off.

What about the chimeras? Swap the heavy bolters for heavy flamers?

I'd drop the Paskquisher. You're paying a lot of extra points for a single point of BS. I'd probably advise changing it for a Demolisher, or even a Manticore; the S10 is a massive help when it comes to ID'íng Paladins/Nob Bikers/Thunderwolves. The Manticore also has a very easy task against vehicles as, being barrage, it hits side armour which at S10 is pretty awesome.

Put h. flamers on all the Chimeras that will be moving (so, all of them!) there's little point in toting two long-range guns when you can't fire both of them at once.

I would also re-assess the weaponry on the Sentinels. Expensive single-shot BS3 guns aren't that great when you *need* them to do damage the turn they arrive (as they are paper-thin and will die if sneezed at n your opponent's turn). I'd be inclined to switch the lascannons for missile launchers or autocannons.

Other than those few tweaks it looks good!
