Hey, I was wondering if anyone had the rules for the mission played in this article:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/blogPost.jsp?aId=16200058a

Because I'd like to know how it's played

I would've thought it would be O.K. to post them, as they're made up/adapted and therefore not copyrighted?

Any info is appreciated!

I do believe it's a Kill Team mission, with 250pts of elites only.
Kill Team is on pages 90-91 in Battle Missions.

Kabal of The Poisoned Flame. (8000 points) Egil Iron Wolf's Great Company: 11,000 points. Tau: 9700+ points. Not Painted Yet. Let's call 'em the FlatPrimerWhite Sept.

Thanks, but they played an adapted version didn't they? Both players were on the same team, and they moved the sentries 'randomly'?

Ahh...
I think i know... vaguely anyway.
The rules were in a previous article...
Lemme go find it
EDIT:They were in the same article...

Unless alerted to the presence of the foe, each sentry would move D6" in a random direction (lazy traitors on a dreary guard duty can't be relied upon). Big explosions, or models that were hit but not killed, however, could sound the alarm, enabling them to act normally! Each of our models could act as an individual model in this game - just as in the Kill Team scenario found in the Battle Missions Expansion.

Essentially they adapted some rules from the OLD Kill-Team mission (which was more of a story-narrative thing, like a 40k commando action movie).

Ah, ok... Thanks. I was just wondering if there was a specific place where the rules had been posted, or if they're in a book (basically just a copy of the rules)?

IIRC, you could find them in the 4th ed BRB

Thanks! Does that mean that I'd have to combine rules from the 4th edition rulebook and the Kill Team scenario in the Battle Missions book?

Kinda...
AFAIk they used a mix of the Klaxon counters and the standard Kill team from battle missions except with random movement for sentries.

Lost in Warp... again

The way I understood it, it's a 250pt game. The players divide 250pts amongst themselves and pick elite units. The "enemy" seemed to be made up of an HQ choice and a troop choice.

My take on the rest:

For the boss, just a kitted out (or basic, depends on how challenging you want it) HQ choice, leaving 100-150 pts for troops (about 10 goons or so).

For the goons, d6" in a random direction says to me a d6 and a scatter die (even the hit has an arrow).

The last obstacle to having a game is the goon's facing and range of sight/hearing. The article describes how they were "behind" one guy, but the other was facing them.

For me, I just gave them a facing based on their face and they can only see forward - think of each goon like a tank. As for range... sight is LOS, hearing is 12". Meaning of course that goons can only alert other goons that are within 12" of them.

Hearing of course being all around - gunfire, explosions, melee all can only be heard within 12". They are after all, just goons.
