would this list be good force for tournaments and for againist space marines. The gargolyes are going to be in front of the winged hive tyrant not sure if they will give the tyrant a cover save. The termagants and hormagaunts will advance forward together within synapse range. the trygons will deepstrike near threats to my army. the raverners would tag along with one of the trygons when deepstriked.

A lot of those units don't work.

3 vanilla warriors will die too soon, same for the ravenors. Put the warriors into a single 4-5 strong brood and add a prime.

I think the tyrant needs devourers.

If you running that many gants then you are really heading into tervigon territory.

40 hormagaunts won't do that well against marines - no rending and no way of stopping transports. Genestealers are good, but your main problem is lack of elites - no hive guard and no zoeys will give you problems vs any mech.

give ur hormagaunts rending or poison as that allows them to rip through squads easier than before, also List B looks better to me. If you put the 2 squads of termaguants together so when they arrive, with the trygon prime, can unleash a lot of shots and son't get shot up trying to cross the board. Also as ruminator said ur warriors are just going to get shot up and do nothing

2500pts
1250pts
warriors of chaos 2000pts
Wood Elves 1000pts
VC 1500pts

They will grant a save if the Tyrant is 50% obscured by them.

Raveners are not infantry, and therefore need to come in off their own deepstrike roll. Just FYI.

Three warrior squads are easy to kill. I would consider buying a Tervigon with the 180 the 6 warriors cost.

I would take a full 150 points of Gargoyles (25 models). They'll be much harder to kill.

Tervigon is a great synapse creature.

I don't think you'll be killing too many tanks with this list. Maybe you can think about working some anti-tank power into the mix.

what anti tank models could I have that are plastic or resin and not metal. And I know that the raveners cant go through the hole with the trygon.

You can allways make hive guard out of warriors

Umm why? If its because the paint doesn't work. Prime coat it with chaos and dont touch it with bare hands wear gloves.

If its sticking just have a steady hand a be patient.
If its chipping use a foam case.

I don't see why your not taking metal.

If its another reason and you just can't use metal take a tyrgon prime or two which you've done. I would say get all termagaunts give 2 brood TS and devourers and the rest just TS.

Only choice really. Convert all 6 of yours into HG would be a good start.

Warriors without at least rending or a decent gun and raveners without rending claws are worthless. Drop, add claws or convert into Hive Guard.

Strongly suggest bumping the gargoyles up to 20+ man squad and buying them both upgrades.

Hive Tyrants are sadly lacking for their points, if you wanna keep it you should get old adversary or hive commander, it's the only reason to take them these days. A Tyranid prime with adrenal glands and twin boneswords hits just as hard as a Hive Tyrant in combat for 40% of the cost, and is significantly more difficult to kill thanks to his independent character status.

Hormagaunts are probably the worst troop choice Tyranids have, get them toxin-sacs or drop them for Tervigons. On the same page, Termigants without Tervigon support are borderline useless.

The only reason to "Prime" a Trygon is for additional synapse and SitW (for the new GKs) coverage. If you drop the warriors for HG, I suggest keeping the prime upgrade. If you wanna keep the warriors in for some reason, drop the prime upgrade.

well I dont like sticking metal models as the model falls apart even whem im holding for about 5mins it falls apart and apprently alot of the metal models are not being produced anymore and are now only stock. And why are hormagaunts so bad. And I may make a better army list so some more advice would be appricated. And does any one know any links to some conversion for the warriors into ahive guard and how to make a tyranid prime.
