Well, as I said in my introduction thread I've been working my way through AoBR to try out the hobby I didn't get round to in my teens. So after a couple of weeks of trying to learn to paint, I went out and bought a Space Marine Chaplain to give me a break from the plastic squads. As it turned out, I'm not ashamed of it at all, so I'll throw it up here, and add more as they get done. I'd appreciate any advice on either the technique or the colour scheme, as all this painty business isn't what I'm used to.

I'll update any progress as I make it. I look forward to your comments, and thanks to D for camera and tech skills.

EDIT: I seem to be having a problem with these links. Will try to sort them later. Sorry about this.

A copy-paste of the image-links does the trick..

The chaplain looks quite nice, but the highlights could be neater, but that comes with more practise and thinner paint
You could paint some more white on the skull as it looks a bit too dirty for my taste. Also, drilling out the gun barrels adds a bit of realism to the model.

Anyhow, good job!

Thanks Pharcae. I could see that the highlighting needs to be better, and oddly enough the gun barrel is drilled, but it's not clear in the photo, so perhaps I need to drill a bit deeper in future, or else wash the barrel of the gun za couple of times to emphasise it.
