On moon miranda.

So, using the updated Armored Company list here I decided to try out the following list.

First off, yes you are reading it right, there are no scoring units. So it's got to table its opponents for objective game wins. This army isn't being designed so much to win as to just be fun but still able to be competitive enough to make opponents feel like they have to work to win even if I can't outright win. Something I can play against people that looks intimidating and has a ton of firepower that can really crush opponents, but at the same time is going to be relatively easy to defeat if one knows what they are doing (i.e. keep one model alive and I can't possibly win in an objective mission). Though that said for KP games it's probably pretty brutal, but I rarely play those (it's been almost a year now) given my...distaste for the KP system anyway.

Here's the thinking. The HQ units are AT kitted Vanquishers for AV13/14 stuff and additional AP2, with MM's for dealing with stuff like pod'ing Ironclads and Land Raiders that make it up close. At BS4 and with the reroll afforded by the Coax stubber, the Vanquisher shouldn't be as bad as it normally is. The Executioners are there to deal with armored stuff and MC's, and additional anti infantry after others have blown them out of transports. The Exterminators and Hydras are there to smack transports/light tanks and infantry. The Armored Sentinels are additional armor saturation and tarpits for enemy units and for contesting objectives to at least force draws.

HQ:

Company Command Tank (BS4), Leman Russ Vanquisher, Coaxial Heavy Stubber, Hull Lascannon, Sponson Multimeltas.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Hmm not sure about the armored sentinels and Hydras. You're relying on tabling your opponent to win.

I'd lose the multimeltas on the vanquishers, abuse that long range to stop enemy meltas from closing in on your only true anti tank.

I'd also swap a command tank for a armoured fist command section and take a few armoured fist squads to score. Perhaps lose two Hydras to abuse two artillery strikes (they come in every turn!) This can really hurt enemy objective campers with the Bombard strike or Medusa strike.
