Flames of War at Gamex 2011

We will be hosting a 4-round tournament on May 28th at Gamex 2011 (www.strategicon.net) if you are interested in playing, please register with me at (frankyvas@yahoo.com) The event is being held at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel 6101 West Century Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90045, 800-325-3535 .

This event will be a 2000 point mid war doubles tournament. Teams of 2. Each player is allowed to bring one 1000 point list. Team members can lend up to 100 points to the other team member. Only one of the two forces can include air support. This tournament will be a qualifier for the 2011 Nationals Tournaments.

NOTE: If you don't have a partner but would like to play, let me know. There is bound to be more than one player in this position and I can get you guys in contact.

We will have room for 40 players, so first come, first served. There will be a $10 entry fee (all of which will go towards prizes). Everyone will receive at least one blister pack, so no one walks away empty-handed.

Players will choose prize in the following order:
Best General (most game points)
Best Sport
Best Colonel (2nd)
Best Major (3rd)
Best Looking Army
Best young player (14 and younger)
Last place
Everyone else by points.

Lists are due no later than Friday, May 20, and should be emailed to frankyvas@yahoo.com. NO lists will be accepted after this cut-off.

20 minutes to set up. Platoons not deployed at the end of the time limit will come on per the reserves rule.

09:30 – 11:30 Round 1 Encounter
12:00 – 14:00 Round 2 Hasty Assault
14:30 - 15:00 Lunch
15:00 – 17:00 Round 3 Free for all
17:30 – 19:30 Round 4 Breakthrough

NOTE: The rounds will start on time, 20 minutes to deploy, 1hr 40 minutes to play. Last turn will be called at the scheduled end time but the game can go up to 15 minutes longer (and no more) so that both teams get their full last turns. Game will end 15 minutes before the start of the next round, no questions asked, dice down, add quickly so we can get moving.

We are going to need terrain. I have enough for four nice tables. Please send me an email if you are interested in helping with the terrain.
