not sure if thisis the right place to post but could someone tell me hw many points you play in the throne of skulls. I've heard its 1500 from one person and 1750 from another and would just like it clearing up :3 thanks

UK is 1750. The US ToS this year is 1,500 and will probably bump to 1750 next year.

But as i said, it isn't 1750 until October. The July one is 1500 points.

No we (UK, in WW Nottingham) have January, April, July and October ToS. They were all 1500, but changing to 1750 in October (not sure why October, i would have gone in july if the changed it in time). I think there changing of the dates etc, has confused most people, i went in January, and people were saying they would definatly come back next year, not knowing there were 3 more this year....

Yeah, the different nature of the events between the two countries is confusing, given that they have the same name. In the US there's just the one, and you have to qualify for it by winning or coming in 2nd at another GT/big event.

In the UK, it's basically just the new version of the GT, yes?

I have 4 lists in case a misunderstanding ever happens: 1500, 1750, 1850 and 2000. Anything bigger and its usually well anounced. Awhile back I showed up to a 2000 point tournament with 1500 points and man those were some stressful games. Always be prepared for points changes, if you can perfect your army to play how you want it to that is the only list you need.

Yeah i think it is.
What used to happen, were 3 heats for the GT (Quite close together i think, not spread out over a year like the individual events our now), and however many from each of those heats qualified for the final. And we had a proper competitive GT from GW.
Now its 'not competitive' (Which means, it shouldn't be a tournament really, so it obviously still is a bit competitive) And there is just the 4 individual events, that anyone can go to.

There is an Indy GT, i think held at Maelstrom games. But you don't have to qualify for that either, you can just buy tickets. The only really competitive tournament i think we have, is the Masters (and i think thats only 16 people)
