Am I going to want to wear a mask while I work with resin (ex: drilling bolter holes, cleaning flush and moldlines), or should just opening a window or even working out in an open environment be safe enough?

It won't matter in the least. As soon as the resin dust hits the air everyone within a 12 mile radius will instantly have ther sould sucked out through their eastern most orifice. Those are just the breaks.

Seriously though, no. It is worse for your lungs to walk behind an idling car than to deal with the small amount of particulate created while customizing resin.

Drilling shouldn't be a problem if it's only short barrels you are doing.

It's usually more the filing/grinding and sanding that create the FINE dust that's a problem. If you're just creating curls of resin (scraping seams, etc), then you'd have to try really hard to inhale those particles.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

I wear a mask when i work with resin, but most of the time I'm using a flapwheel, which kicks up fine particles. If you're shaving or drilling, it shouldn't be a problem, but once you start sanding or filing, then put on the mask.
