Battletech: Succession Wars or Battleforce
GDW's Imperium or Fifth Frontier War

Does anyone even remember them?

Remember them? I have the BT and RL ones on the shelf next to me.

Played them recently? Not so much. My friends liked Battletech on the tactical scale and never got into the strategic levels.

Renegade Legion got poisoned by some bad early experiences. In Interceptor, it is quite possible to take minimal armor damage and then have people pour damage through the hole and (through various shorts) prevent you from doing anything for the 3-4 turns it takes to actually destroy your fighter. In Leviathan, a home built missile destroyer with battleship-grade missiles (what, no rules to prevent this?) autokilled a frigate and two destroyers in three turns for minimum damage in return - leaving the guy's other two ships intact.

Sigh.

The Interceptor story seems pretty rough but as far as the leviathan story, that just sounds like it needs a gentleman's agreement.

Me? I love me some Centurion but rarely get to bust it out.

I played BattleForce years ago. I haven't tried out the new version yet in Strategic Operations.

I have Battletech, Centurion and Leviathan. I love the fluff behind all of them.

Played a couple games of Battletech in the last few years. I've never played Centurion even though I have the game. Last time I played Leviathan was probably nearly 2 decades ago... OMG !! Has it really been that long?

Used to play alot of Battletech but Succession War and Battleforce never really took off.

Loved Interceptor got in some games but I liked Centurion and still have but never got anybody willing to play. Love the TOG/Renegade Legion Fluff.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I owned all of the FASA games listed.

The only surviving one is Succession Wars.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Care for a PBeM game of Succession Wars? I loved that game... would have been awesome if they came out with maps/units for 3039, 3050, Civil War etc etc

Did you ever get a chance to read the Centurion Novels "Damned if we do" and "Frost Death"?

I have both of those and "Renegade's Honor". "Frost Death" was not very good, but the other 2 were fantastic!
