Really struggling with trying to make a competitive list staying within my slaanesh theme. Had a defiler in this list but i don't have a lot of big stuff on the board so found if i go second it tends to be dead before it does anything. I know a plasma dread is laughable, but with the right deployment and lash it should shoot my opponent a lot and me not sot much.

Sorcerer goes with doom siren/powerfist noise marines in rhino. other rhino there merely as a tactical option should there not be much scope to set up chosen on the board near the enemy. put it under the static noise marine unit as it leaves it open to choice who i can put in it

I don't see what tactic or concept you had while writing this list...

For the optimal use of the 2 lashes you need something very shooty to kill the lashed units and as far as i can see you rely solely on your 2 MCs to kill AV14? MechGuard will give you a big headache too...

I'd recommend fielding the chosen with meltas in rhino and outflank them.
Get rid of the Dread, i consider them only useful when fielded in pairs.
Consider replacing the Havocs with Vindicators or Oblits because lash in combination with template weapons = win!!
Maybe replace the prince with a 2nd sorcerer - less points, easier to hide or use 2 princes. A lone prince will attract a LOT of shooting and probably won't live long enough to get into melee (where it can't use it's lash anymore).

If i were to field a shooty and fluffy slaanesh army i'd use the following list:
2x Lashsorcerer
Summoned Greater Demon
6x Chosen, 4x Melta, naked Champ, IoCG, Rhino
2x 6 Noisemarines with 2x Sonic, 1x Blastmaster, Icon, Champ w./PF, Rhino
2x6 Lesser Demons
2x Vindicator w. Demonic Possesion

The single Daemon Prince is going to attract a lot of attention as the Greater Daemon is just a gamble when it's going to come on.

btw you are aware lash isn't that affective in 5th edition?

Take Dreadnoughts in pairs and they can work right if used right.

Chosen are ok but you won't get into range with those plasma guns, even if you infilitrate they probably might get only one turn of shooting in if they're lucky.

Noise Marines are just too expensive for what you. I would just take normal Marines with IoS so you get the goody special weapons and cost cheaper.

Second Rhino doesn't need extra armour.

Summoned Daemons are good for objective holding but I'd get more.

Havocs I'd take all missile launchers works out the same points

played in a lot of tournaments with my salamanders recently, so despite knowing that lash isn't as good as it was i wanted a new challenge with my chaos marines with a slaanesh tint on things, and why i want to persevere with the noise marines, even though they're the least value chaos troops - i think they're cool! Thought that two lashes gives me more options than Lucius(not so good), or a daemon weapon lord(although he's good)

@ Larendard i'm getting a bit frustrated with the g. daemon as its too random to be relied upon, and i already have quite a big white elephant in points on the noise marines

@ Mercer i have extra armour on the second rhino as thats where the sorcerer is, so i don't want him+unit stranded just because rhino got stunned.

The havocs are there to try pop transports, and i feel that 6 S7 shots and 1 S8 are fairly reliable at this, playtested it a few times and their one of the things in this list that i can rely on to do its job! also useful agaiinst MCs

I know i'm shooting myself in the foot here, but i don't want to use obliterators in this list, it doesnt sit right with me.

Kudos to you for not using Oblits - i dislike them too and only got 3 of them (own conversions, not the ugly GW-buggers) and don't use them too often.
I'd stay with the concept of using Noisemarines, i think they're much better than Thousand Sons and can be a nice replacement for the Oblits. Imagine lashing the enemy in place and blasting 'em away with sonic weapons *yeah!*
Anyway you'll need some Meltas, everyone needs Meltas or else you'll be struggeling with Leman Russels, Land Raiders and even Ironclads...

So glad to see someone using autocannon havocs. If you do need template weapons vindicators are great for impressive damage output but can be disabled rather easily with their single weapon and have a short range compared to most HS.

If you decide to stick with lashing and need template weapons consider swapping the ACs out for more missile launchers. More shots with more wounds behind them and a lot more range is a good combination for less points as well.

To be frank, ditch the Greater Demon. It is not worth the 100pts plus the Champion you sac for it. I agree with ditching the Dread, just because there is nothing on your side that can take a plasma cannon shot, and all you need is to roll a 1 on turn one and screw yourself before your opposite gets to even fire a shot. I am also not a fan of the lesser demons unless your talking demon bomb with several units. Besides, Grey Knights will just destroy them right now without blinking. I like the Vindicators as a suggestion, but they are also waaay to random with the scatter.

To be frank, with no pie plates (that don't scatter) and the amount of mecha out there, it might not be worthwhile to even take lash. Maybe 2 Princes with wings and warptime might be your best bet. You can still give them MoS to keep with your theme, but there are obviously better choices out there.

Very solid list - i like it!

actually i really like this list, and it keeps with my theme. May keep the DP's with lash as i tend to find that NM with doom siren's tend to banjo most infantry in assualt, and those Rhino's are actually going to be my solution for those armour 14 tanks.

I've been generally killing loads of infantry and kind of ignoring heavy tanks hoping they go away!
