Ive only really been bulk collecting at the moment to give myself options I do not have my point list or book on me as im travelling but I have trhe idfea for strong missle based force that im hoping will beat my mates orcs.



I got a captain and command squad.

I was thinking 3 tac squads. two minimum size armed with missle launchers for relative long range and one small interception froup armed with a flamer marine.

a librarian floating about

three bikers for interception

a bike bound chaplain


a deep striking terminator squad


a vidicator

a whirlwind

a predator.

this was off the top of my head but ithink is pretty strong for a combination of close and far combat. use heavy weopons to deteriorate numbers then bring in terminators and flamers for cdloser combat.

it is good? rubbish? ideas?

In order to take Missile launchers in Tac squads they've gotta be 10 strong, so they can't be minimum size. you could take 2 tac squads with missile launcher and flamer and then combat squad them and keep the ML together and the Flamers together.

i'd use a Librarian as captains and command squads are points sinks IMO

or use that biker chaplin with ur bikes for a serious anti-light infantry/light tank unit depending on how you load em out.

i've never used termies so idk about that (i have all my elite spots filled with dreads )

if you could be more specific about the point level u'll be playing at, unit upgrades (on bikes, termies, and heavy support), and read the army list and point costs thread at the top of the page im sure some vets could help you out more.

As Stormcallers said, your tac squads need to be 10 man strong for missile launchers, or maybe by minimum size you're referring to minimum to get the ML?
Furthermore, you have three HQs there, which isn't allowed unfortunately. I would lose the captain in favour of the Chaplain and Librarian.

Vindicators and whirlwinds are good against horde orks. Is your friend playing with some vehicles or all on foot?

What do your termies have? What points level are you playing. Do you have any transports?

We need some more details in order to help you more.
