So if i give grot oilers to all three kans in a squadron, does it (on successful roll) ignore the immobilized result that would normally destroy a vehicle in a squadron? If not, please explain...

Nope, you don't get to use the oilers until there is only one kan left in the squadron. The moment you roll that immobilised result on a vehicle in a squadron, it is destroyed... so you won't get the chance to use the oilers.

No, it is immediately immobilised. You couldnt even MAKE the roll unless it were already immobilised.

And, as soon as it is immobilised, it is dead. It was a piece of wargear worthwhile in 4th ed squadrons, but not in 5th ed.

The Grots 4+ roll can also only be made during your shooting phase.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

In your opponent's shooting phase, he scores an Immobilized result on a squadron, which immediately becomes Destroyed - Wrecked.

On your turn, you have the ability to use Grot Riggers to repair any immobilized vehicles. Which won't help the aforementioned Kan, as it's already a Wreck.

As noted, this upgrade was more useful in 4th edition. You can still take it on a single Kan, if you like. Once you're down to one left he no longer is subject to the squadron rules.
