Subject: Attempting a competitive GK 2k list

So after trying out my old list with a heavy reliance on Dreadnaughts, I thought I would change things up a little. Here's the deal:
GK GM
Blind, Rad and Psychotroke Grenades
3x Servo Skulls
Coteaz
Venerable Dreadnaught
2x TL autocannon
Psybolt ammo
Venerable Dreadnaught
2x TL autocannon
Psybolt ammo
Vindicare Assassin
5 man GK Strike Squad
1x Daemon Hammer
1x Psycannon
Razorback
Psybolt ammo
5 man GK Strike Squad
1x Daemon Hammer
Psycannon
Razorback
Psybolt ammo
5 man Henchman unit
3x melta
Chimera
5 man Henchman unit
3x melta
Chimera
5 man Henchman unit
3x melta
Chimera
5 man GK Interceptor Squad
1x Daemon Hammer
1x Psycannon
3x Halberds
5 man Purgation Squad
1x Daemon Hammer
4x Incinerator
Razorback
Psybolt ammo
5 man Purgation Squad
1x Daemon Hammer
4x Incinerator
Razorback
Psybolt ammo
Comes in at 2k exactly. The venerables are hard to take down and so should do a reasonable job at eliminating their primary targets (AV 10-12) and once that is done we get to a crap ton of S6 in the form of multilasers on Chimeras and TL heavy bolters on razorbacks. Purgation squads deal with hordes and daemon hammers are everywhere to help deal with high AV up close and personal. The GKGM goes in a Chimera and is just a counter assault unit...by the time he has to hit something it should already be shot up good. The interceptor squad is a harassment unit but can easily get side/rear armour shots if they need to. I have little experience with the Vindicare (used once total) but I feel he will help the list out no end.
Thoughts, criticism or feedback of any kind welcome.

You're using many elements in your army that I'm using in my own....so I sort of see where you're going with this.
Drop those extra acolytes...they dont make the units resiliant. If they get out of the chimera's they're dead anyway. Save yourself 24pts.
I would drop the vindicare...he doesnt really fit this list and is way too fragile on his own....I know, stealth stealth whatever. It's still just a 3+ save on a 2 wound T4 character. Can you kill two marines with small arms fire? You can kill the vindicare easy. He'd only be good inside of one of the chimera's and your Acolytes need those...honestly, I would drop him....which would give you more points for stuff that this list really needs.
Your purgations have no use for their psychic power. Sub in some psycannons for the incinerators. move up in your transport using "scout" from the GM. Deploy behind your transport wall out of line of site. Unleash hell on your first turn shooting phase while remaining OUT of LOS using Astral Ammo. Hammers on this squad is sort of silly too...they should be shooting.
Put those incinerators on the Interceptors....try to get them up to a 10 man squad for two. When you shunt you dont deviate so that makes Incinerators awesome for this unit.
I would drop some of the stuff off of the GM to save some points if you could. He doesnt need all those grenades and stuff. He's here for the Grand Stratagy...that's pretty much it.
This is what I would do to improve your list.....
-Note that I say 'your' list as I hate it when peeps totally rework people's lists into something that they dont have any plans on playing....this is improving YOUR list-
HQ
GM with Halberd
Coteaz
ELITE
Venerable Rifleman w/Psybolts
TROOPS
(5)Strike Squad w/Psycannon, Razorback w/Psybolts
(5)Strike Squad w/Psycannon, Razorback w/Psybolts
(3)Acolytes w/Meltaguns, Chimera
(3)Acolytes w/Meltaguns, Chimera
(3)Acolytes w/Meltaguns, Chimera
FAST
(10)Interceptors w/2xIncinerator, Justicar w/MCDH
(5pt Halberds on models w/1A are a waste)
HEAVY
Rifleman Dreadnought w/Psybolts
(5)Purgation w/4xPsycannon, Razorback w/Psybolts
(5)Purgation w/4xPsycannon, Razorback w/Psybolts
-1997
Now, instead of a Harassment unit...the incinerators are a serious threat.
Purgation's work better and are more efficient.
Acolyte units are more efficient.
Still two dreads out there shooting STR 8.
I think this works a little better than what you've got above. I think Grey Knights can do much better but this is what you're wanting to take...just shuffled some points around a bit.
EDIT: I would SERIOUSLY consider dropping your Purgation Razorbacks down to Rhino's. Those 20 pts could be put on the Interceptors for Psybolt ammo. I might do that if you commit your Purgation transports toward mid feild (as you should) and they tend to die in your games.

I've never been sure about Venerables they're just too expensive for what you get over a normal Dreadnought though I guess YMMV on that one.
Strike Squads don't really need hammers. Reason is they only get one attack and if you put a hammer on the Justicar you may fail a psychic test and lose the hammer too. Psybolt ammo is not worth it in small squads as makes those units cost 4 points more, only take take psybolt ammo in larger squads.

The psybolt ammo is on the razorbacks, not the squads. Sorry if that was unclear.
Thanks for the feedback Deadshane. I will give "my" new list a try and see how it fares on the field. Unfortunately no games this week due to other commitments though.

Sorry I think I actually read it wrong. I've used psy-backs before and even with heavy bolters they are a bit meh.
