Ok, I have a few IG models in my bitz box, and am wondering if I can form a useful squad out of them. I dont know IG rules and so dont know which wargear and how much certain models are allowed, so what I was hoping is that if I list the models i have, you guys can tell me how to compose a squad or two out of them...

They all appear to be shock troops going by the GW website:

Guard with Lasguns x6
Guard with vox caster backpack & Lasguns x2
Guard with vox caster backpack & Laspistol x1
Guard with vox caster backpack & Grenade launcher + Chainsword x1
Guard with Laspistol x2
Guard with chainsword x1
Guard with grenades in each hand x1
Guard with flamers x2
Guard with flamer and chainsword x1
Guard with Grenade Launcher x4

I do have a couple of spare arms that I could swap in if needed, and could pull the arms off these ones if they need swapping.

Can I make anything useful out of this?

Thanks

Generally each guard squad (10 models) only allows one special weapon and one figure with llaspistol and close combat weapons (the seargent) . I can't really say more without reprinting info from the codex which is not generaly allowed.

Basically, you just need to get 10 more lasgun arm sets and you'll have enough for two squads of guardsmen. It's not too hard to do, just post up in the marketplace an at bartertown or buy from a bits dealer. The codex will give you the exact options for Sgt's and Specials.

Vet squads can have 3 special weapons per squad.

It sounds like you've got enough for 2 complete squads of vets.

Your sergeants will have the pistols, so you may want to swap out a pistol for a lasgun. Also, swap out two of the GL arms for regular lasguns, and pull off the vox casters on your sergeant, and one of the lasgunners.

Basically: 1 sergeant (Pistol, Chainsword), 3 flamers or GL, 5 lasguns, 1 vox+lasgun. That gives you two squads of vets.
