So I got a land raider. I can proxy it as a land radier crusader or redeemer?

Its just a bit silly to buy another £40 model so I can do the same thing.

I already glued everything on -__- (can't leave it not glued since it keeps falling off)

Ok well, I will think about detaching them later and magnetising it.

GW is one fussy company.

They're not fussy. They don't really run too much for the tournaments. It's that playing in a tournament is not really the place for proxies. The last thing you want is for an opponent to call over a TO because you forgot and fired lascannons from a Land Raider Crusader.

Reasonable.

Time to make my land raider into a redeemer and crusader lol.

It has nothing to do with the company, but with players,, tournaments are usually WYSIWYG for a very good reason, they are competative gaming and bringing models that aren't actually those as set out in codex can be both unsportmanly and very annoying for gamers, because in a timed game why would you want your opponent wasting 5 minutes of the game explaining ''why model X is actually model Y and weapons A is actually model B''.

Proxying is fine in normal games up to a point, but in tournaments they are not because it is not fair on other players.

its safe to say that relictors are the greatest army a man , nay human can own.

So do you know where I can get the conversion packs?

I only see the crusader conversion on the website not redeemer....

Redeemer bits come on the Crusader sprue. You should be fine.

Somebody used a Landraider as a Crusader at the last tourney I went to. Nobody seemed to mind but it was a monthly FLGS tourney, not a grand tournament or anything.

Thanks ^^

Finally I have a fully customisable army. All magnetised.

I didn't want to do this but now I have.

Please don't proxy in tournaments, ever.

If your model doesn't have it, don't try to tell me it does. It's not an issue of me being a jerk, I make sure and spent the cash or the time doing conversions to get the wargear for my army (like combis for all my sternguard, 30 combis in total.. lol anyways) and many people do the same.

When some guy rolls up, tosses down his whatever and says 'hey bro, i know you spent all this time and money but this is my proxy for this and it's gonna have this and this and this' I just want to reach over and slap him silly.

I've shrugged off my annoyance on very minor things but with other players, I've literally had to get a TO to come and deal with it. It is belittling to people who put the time and effort, as we all have equal oppotunity; economics aside to aquire the models and bitz or convert.

Here is the best that ever happened to me in a tournament:

"This Hive Tyrant without Wings has Wings and it actually has 2 devourer cannons."

Even better, finding out he had been proxying it as different things to different opponents and nobody but me called him on it. Boy, were they all mad to have lost to that...

Just to add: In a friendly game, I don't really care too much about proxy but I don't use them. I'm also prone, if someone asks to proxy somehting ridiculous.. to do the same in turn.

What about this.

I personally have two army list. One with all my gk/termis with halberds but the other with swords. Having two army with only difference are the swords will be kinda ridiculous to me. Also magetising 30 arms 60 weapons. a very dedicated player will do that but I don't think i can be bothered.

If I give my opponet my army list will that be ok? Or should I start drilling lol.

Do you think the difference between swords and halberds is important?

If it is then model it correctly.

If it's not then just use what's modelled.

In a friendly game, I don't think this is a real issue but in any other situation; the fact that those halberds are upgrades you pay points for and increase your I to 6. They are a difference from the swords. I think you should model your units with the equipment you intend them to have and if you will change it; magnetize.

As an easy example, SM Players tend to try this all the time with Sternguard:

This squad has 8 combi weapons.

"But, I don't see a single combi-weapon in that squad. Just bolters."

Yeah, I paid the points though!
