I'm a newbie, he is good. So how do I beat the rats? His clan rat horde rolled all over my 20 sea guard and 20 spearmen. I didn't even have a chance to engage his doom wheel which threatened my flank. I had 2 level 2 mages but he had 1 level 4. So he could dispel a lot.
At 1500 points I only had 4 units ( including 16 archers and 10 Phoenix guard) and 2 bolt throwers.
Any suggestions? He's really gloating now...

First of all , thats alot of fur / plastic to file off the rats.
How big are the rats units? Your best units against him are the Sword Masters i believe.
Shoot ur bolt thrower in salvos at the lvl 4 mage maybe?
