So given the title of this it is safe to say I'm starting a High Elves painting blog. Hopefully it will keep me motivated to paint more often.

Also it seems the original purple I used was quite horrible looking(the plume purple is horrible imo) so will have to change to Liche Purple as shown in the image. The horrible purple may look better with a wash or 2 but I dont think that alone will cut it.

Okay guys first few pics are here but I need some help. Please state what pic is the best quality. I took a bunch of pics using various setting and want to know what one is the best, I narrowed it down to 3 for yous hehe.

Ok so now I have another pic of the progress. I do know that the ice blue needs another coat to fully cover the black.

Looking good I'd tend to have started at the deepest part of the robes and worked upwards myself. Just to make life easier.

Yea id usually do that aswell, but i have no idea what colour to make the robes atm, possibly red, yellow or orange.

And another update .

Now this is mostly 90% finished flat colour wise. There are a few areas that need a touch up.

Hmm it appears that the Shining Gold isnt as strong as I hoped, so will need to go over that again.

Almost completely OT, but the title of this thread reminds me of Where's Waldo. You should totally take a photo of everything when you're done with Teclis hidden somewhere.

Sorry about lack of updates! The camera I use for these pics had a trip to Paris for a week haha.

Anyway onto some pics:

This is the Musician for my Sword Masters, as you can see the purple plume has been washed(I say washed but I mean drowned). Im happy with it but there are parts I need to go over again.



It appears I may be havin some trouble with the gold areas, they just dont look the same as my Chaos Space Marines yet im doing the exact same thing. Maybe its coz the Chaos have a dark basecoat(Dark Angels Green) and these are alot brighter given they are mostly metallic painted.

I did have a second pic to add but for watever reason it isnt uploading to the dakka gallery. Anywho, ill try get some more pics soon(I am a slow painter lol).
