Can you put any infantry with Vect in his special raider? The codex says must be deployed with 9 other models. So I'm thinking can I put mandrakes with him or Harlequins?

I have already asked my red shirt at local store and says yes I can but i wanted to get more opinions before I convert my model to have mandrakes or harlys hanging off the dias.

Oh and if I can put Harlys with Vect does the whole unit and vehicle benefit from the Veil of Tears meaning opponent needs to roll 2d6 X 2 to see if he can shoot at the Dias?

It is treated exactly as a raider other than the fact that it must carry 9 models plus Vect. I would assume that this means that units that could not normally take a transport, still cannot do so. It doesn't state anything about it allowing units that can't normally take a dedicated transport being able to start off in the dais.

It can carry Vect and any other 9 models that make up 1 unit. The dais is listed as a special dedicated transport and it is defined in Vect's entry. It is not listed as a normal dedicated transport and the only model that can take it is Vect and another 9 models.
So, you take Vect plus any unit of 9 models, they are joined together at deployment and deployed in the dais.

The harlies and Vect, yes. The dais, no.
Veil of Tears works for the shadowseer and any unit she is with, but she is not 'with' the transport, they are separate units, so Veil would not work, unlike KFF which would cover the transport.

Thanks for replies, I hope your right Mr Wizard, I like the idea of having mandrakes flying around shooting baleblasts out of an open toped vehicle (with a haemy of course and moving only 6 inches...)
