The existence of a brand new entry in Ubisoft and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series is no surprise—Ubisoft Toronto managing director Jade Raymond has already confirmed she's leading the development team. What's new are apparently leaked details on the forthcoming sixth Splinter Cell.

According to a report from Gamerzines, audio equipment maker Blue Sky posted images on its web site seemingly from the game's title screen, which refers to the game as simple Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and SC6. Those images have since been removed by both parties.

The images, if real, don't tell us too much other than that it appears Sam Fisher will return with his trademark night vision goggles. The text "BROKEN ARROW" appears, indicating that the game may focus on an event involving "nuclear weapons, warheads or components, but which does not create the risk of nuclear war."

From Facebook App.

From what I can tell from the image, he seems to have gone back to a stealth suit instead of his street cloths from Conviction.

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

Hopefully, they'll be able to find a middle ground between Conviction and the rest of the series.

Though Conviction was awesome, it was way too limited in scope and it basically stripped the stealth elements that the series is known for completely. The other games in the series were way too unforgiving, and were basically a huge course of trial and error, with hardly any room to make your own decisions. When a game limits you that much, what's the point in even playing it? You might as well go watch a movie.

Pain is an illusion of the senses, Despair an illusion of the mind.

I guess I'm part of a minority that liked Conviction far, far, far, far more than the original batch.

It was nice getting to play Sam as the cold-hearted predator he can be, rather than the puzzle solving nylon clad genius.

I have played each and every one of the SC games, I will gladly buy 6 when it comes out.

I also really enjoyed conviction.

I'm not sure if it is the minority. I also think Conviction is the best. If not the best, then at least the most fun.
