I'm participating in a small, local tournament where Forge World lists are allowed. For those that have seen the list, you are probably aware of the short-comings of the HQ selections. Would it be in poor gaming etiquette to use some of the special characters included but not technically allowed in the list? There are rules and points for the units in the book, but Forge World has explicitly stated that they are not allowed for competitive use.

I am planning to get the approved by the organizer first, but I want to see if I should even bother. I am fully prepared not to take the Special Characters, but would really like to field some of these characters for their abilities and fluffyness.

If the TO says it's ok, then it's ok.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

Gathering the Informations.

I'd say no. They're geared more towards Apocalypse games than standard, even if they are highly...underwhelming.

if the points represent their effectiveness on the table and its allowed by the organiser I think its fair to use them.

Welcome to the Daemonhunters, the ranks of the exalted Ordo Malleus and their cannon fod....er, I mean, loyal allies. Remember...the only ones who need fear the righteous might of the Ordo Malleus are the Daemonic.

quote: Dashofpepper: ...sad rivulet of demon prince tears. He ponders for a moment, then lashes the demon hunters into him. He assaults them, kills a terminator or two....and then demon hunters being demon hunters....they proceed to wtfpwn him. Second player leaves the table...
