Hi! I'm trying to find any 40k gamers in the Lebanon, PA area (USA). I play Eldar (Ulthwe), and have YET to win a game - so even other Noobs would be welcome. Please let me know if anyone's aware of people in Lebanon or nearby (even Hershey) who may want to get together for a game. Thanks!

Hey,
I've got some good news for ya, and some bad news.
There's an awesome store near where I live (10 minutes away) and they're starting a 1000 point league tonight, and they play Warhammer 40k almost every day.
The bad news: We're in Harrisburg. If you're willing to drive 45 minutes or so, check out the Adventurer's Guild:

I'm not far from Hershey, off 22 in the Lower Paxton area near where rt39 crosses. I'm still pretty new I started last February probably only played about 6 or 7 games.

Roge, I've been PM'ing with the guy from Adventurer's Guild - he says that they have 40k games every Tuesday night starting ~4pm. Do you have a group in Hershey you've been gaming with, or have you gone up to the Guild (yet)?

Not part of a group yet. I've bought quite a bit of my stuff at the guild but haven't had a chance to get down there for a game yet.

So you're playing marines? I'm not sure I'll get up there tonight, but may try for next week. Have >2k points in army, most of them painted - but they're fluffy Eldar so I'm sure I'll die quick until someone gets me playing better!

Hey! For anyone interested, there's a NEW place in Annville - called "D" Emperor Games, close to the square. I'll be headed over this week to check things out, but they were listed by GW as a new retailer for 40K! Talked to the owner (I think) who says that heavy game nights are Fridays & Saturdays...

I've been to "D" Emperor Games a few times now. He has a small selection of models, a fair number of Citadel paints, and a nice selection of brushes and other stuff. Has a fair selection of books. Great place to game, as well - owner plays Nids, Chaos Marines, & Wolves (for 40K), as well as some other stuff (Warhammer Fantasy, which I wasn't interested in so didn't get more info). They game practically every day, and walk-ins are always welcome there. Super nice people in there, highly recommend it. They aren't fussy about whether or not minis are painted when you play, and are really good at giving critical support & advice to noobs (like me). They've got an Apocolypse game planned for July 4th weekend. HIGHLY recommend this place!

If you want to run down the Turnpike a bit, my store, Showcase Comics is about an hour from you.
We're expanding this weekend to a larger store in the Granite Run Mall. 20 tables for open gaming, and so many miniatures we make the GW stores run away and hide their heads in shame. We'll be doing late nights every Friday from now on, and July 8th-10th we are hosting Dakkacon. Loads of room for open gaming and you can meet a lot of new people.
More info over in the tournament section, and on our website at www.ShowcaseComicsandGames.net
I'm a bit biased, but this new store is going to rock anything on the East Coast for tables, scenery, and sheer amount of product. Worth coming down to check things out. Especially Dakkacon, you aren't going to find many places stuffing you with barbeque, chili dogs, and smoked chicken while you roll dice. Bring your Eldar and my Orks will show you a good stompin'.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Hi, I live in Manheim which is about 30 minutes from "D" Emperor Games. I have been told by a friend that this store does not exist. I hope that's not true and if it's not, could someone tell me the hours of the store and exactly how to get there. I know that the address is 807 E Main Street but is it right on the street or do I have to use a side door or something. I play space marines and I'd love to find a place to play besides my friends basement. Thanks!

There's an FLGS called Passtimes on the square in Palmyra. They have some game tables and have a huge selection of terrain products due to selling model trains there too. I don't think they are a regular GW retailer anymore but they usually have some GW figures and games around. They have a lot of figures from other manufacturers and historicals too.
I'm down here in Lancaster but I play fantasy and historicals, no 40k.

Duker, I am very sorry to say that "D" Emperor Games is no longer open. I drove out there last week when the phone number was disconnected, and peeked in the door. They just had a "closed" sign on the door, but the place is now vacant. I'm not sure how far it would be for you to get up to The Adventurer's Guild (in Harrisburg), but I went up there on Tuesday and was able to get in a game with my Eldar. The staff is great, they have LOTS of stuff - both 40K and otherwise, and the gamers (>12 in the store on Tuesday) were all friendly & welcoming. If you find another place in the area, please post & let us know!

Its a bit of a drive but Comic Store West in York has loads of GW and FOW product and several tables. Its worth the trip. Brett has been running his game store since the '70s.
Is Adventurers Guild still behind the Karate school? I havn't been there for awhile.

York would be WAY too far of a drive for me, personally. The AG now has the store front - right in the corner next to Ashley Furniture. They may have moved since you were up there last.

snurl, may want to head up next Saturday (09/17) - they're having a 40K Tournament. 1K points, $5 entry fee, guaranteed 3 rounds per player. Think it starts at 1pm - check out their web site's calendar. Details are there.

Thanks Makhoy for letting me know. I have been to the AG before and that's where I bought my first units. The problem is that I don't like driving all the way to harrisburg and dealing with traffic. I go to college in Reading and I think there might be some places around there that I'll check out. Thanks again for the infor

mikhaila posted about a place named "Showcase Comics" in the Granite Run mall in Media, PA back in July. I know that for me, it would take close to 2H to get there - unfortunately too long of a drive, but for others this may be a viable option. For those interested, the Berks- PA Gaming Club is going to be running some games at MechaniCon 2011 (West Chester, PA) from 11/4-6/11 at the Days Inn. Here's the link if anyone's interested: http://www.themechanicon.com/1/category/featured/.

Hey there folks! Mike B here, president of the Berks- PA Gaming Club. We represent a large and growing community of gamers in and around Berks County Pennsylvania. Our main Headquarters is in West Reading, PA, but our friend's store The Last Level, is currently relocating and remodeling. We have lot's of gaming going on and around 50-60 club members who host games and can meet for games at other locations.
We also support other venues, such as Showcase Comics and The Adventurer's Guild and other locales as well. If you are interested in more information, look us up online here at: http://berks-pa-gamingclub.blogspot.com/
Also we are on facebook: Berks- PA Gaming Club
We are affiliated with over 10 other gaming clubs and if you're in the state or heck, even in the region, by all means contact us as we are looking to continue to expand our network of friends and clubs.
Yes, we are running 3 sessions of a Kill Team mini-tournament for Warhammer 40K at Mechanicon, and we also have some smaller tournaments we run in our region as well.
Our Biggest event is Berks Spring Assault! And April 21, 2012 will be our 3rd time running this event! We had 50 players, 19 sponsors and over $2000 in prizes and raffles to give out last time. This year we hope to do more. Mikhala and Showcase Comics are one of our sponsors and have already agreed to help us make this next event even better.
