So, I'm making an all Slaanesh Chaos army for 1500 points. As it stands it is 1690 but I can pull out an HQ/Elite/Fast Attack/Heavy Support choice to bring it back down to 1500, depending on who I'm facing.
I do understand that a good mix of everything on the chaos roster is alot better but it's more for fluff reasons

HQ:
Daemon Prince - Wings, Mark of Slaanesh and Lash of Submission
155 Points

Chaos Lord (he'll be running with the raptors; my fast attack choice) - Jump Pack, Mark Of Slaanesh, Plasma Pistol and Lightening Claw
140 Points

Elites:
Chosen Chaos Space Marines (They'll be tank killers with their infiltrate rule) [10] -Aspiring Champion with: Plasma Pistol and Power Fist, Melta bombs (all) and one guy with Icon of Slaanesh for possible lesser daemon summon when I add them as well as giiving +1 I to the squad.
300 Points

Troops:
Noise Marines [10x2] - Noise Champion with: Doom siren and Power Weapon, Sonic Blaster x8, Blastmaster x1, Rhino with Havoc Launcher
380 Points per squad

Fast Attack:
Chaos Raptors (They'll be infantry killers) [5] - Aspiring Champion with Lightening Claws, Flamers x2
155 Points

Heavy Support:
Predator - Twin-linked lascannon (turret), lascannon x2 (sponson), havoc launcher (pintle)
180 Points

I love the thought of slaanesh armies (For fluff reasons... I love Fulgrums fluff )

That being said, a few things I notice about your army -
Your chaos lord seems lost and confused with his wargear, and Daemon Princes work best in pairs. I'd say drop the Lord, replace with a Prince set up like your first one.

Your chosen are bloated. Drop the melat bombs, drop the champion, give four of them melta guns so they can tank hunt even better. With some of the points that were saved, give them a rhino.

Only 9 out of 10 of your noise marines have special weapons. If you're going to buy the sonic weapons, buy em all. That's my thought on it though.

Without the Chaos Lord, the raptors aren't needed. Drop em completely.

Your predator is the only heavy tank on the field, and it's loaded to the teeth. It is going to attract every anti-tank weapon the opponent has. To avoid this, strip it down to basic, and take two of them. The auto cannons will give you 4 S7 shots a turn instead of 3 S9 shots. And I believe all those Auto cannon shots will be TL'd unlike those lascannon sponsons, so more of them will hit.

I don't have my codex in front of me, but those changes should not only drop you to 1500, but give you a little bit of breathing room to add some things (Maybe some H. Bolter sponsons? Combi meltas on your rhinos?)

Thanks for the quick reply

Noise Marines: 8 have the sonic blaster, one has a blastmaster and the 10th is a champ witht he doom siren and PW so they all have the upgrades

I can definitly see why two Daemon Princes would be a great combo, alot of lashings and still as much movement as my chaos lord.

As for giving my chosen a rhino; I was wanting to use the chosen to get into the enemy ranks quick with the infiltrate rule and going straight for tanks and other heavies so that's why I didn't choose to give them a dedicated transport. Is it worth using this tactic or would it be better going for tank vs tank style?

Well, IIRC then a unit with a dedicated transport and infiltrate confer infiltrate to the vehicle they are in, so you would still have that option, and as a rhino has firing ports, you would still be able to move around and shoot (As long as you don't move more than 6" of course) It would be just a little extra protection, and when they are done with their target and if they manage to survive, then they move along at 12" instead of 6 + d6.

I see what you mean with the noise marines, but even with those upgrades, the champ can still replace his bolter. The doom siren is in addition to his gear, I think... >_>

Oh, I didn't know you could infiltrate with a rhino! How sneaky. I bet Creed was involved...

Yendor

Thats actually false.

You can outflank with the Rhino but you cannot infiltrate with it.

So you can outflank the Rhino em but if you plan on infiltrating then the Rhino cannot come.

EDIT: the slaanesh daemon weapon is fun too. Turns your lord into a ninja assassin. Initiative 6, and tons of attacks each causing instant death! Charachters without eternal warrior will be vaporized

EDIT 2: Have you considered running those noise marines in squads of 6? Its Slaanesh's favorite number and paying 380 points per squad is absurd...

Honestly, the main problem I see is that your Chosen/Noise Marines are HUGE and major point sinks. The chosen could probably be dropped down a bit, cutting a few guys, maybe even the icon and the plasma pistol. Plasma Pistols in general are iffy, one shot, can kill you, and may fry something, or may never be shot at all before you charge. Meltaguns are needed for the Chosen for real tankhunting. Trying to hit with Meltabombs is frustrating if the vehicles are and can consistantly moving 12" (and most will with Meltabomb chosen on their tail)

6 IS Slannesh's sacred number, and a nice balance for Noise Marines. And it's best to choose either shooty or combat, going with all Noise Blasters and maybe a Blastmaster (if the points allow) for shooty, camping objectives are great. For combat, just the champ with a Power Weapon and Doom Siren, all in a rhino to race forward and destroy!

And I totally agree with splitting the Predator. Just dropping the upgrades alone on the first might be you another one both with Heavy Bolter Sponsons. XD

One other thing with lash (and I just experienced this a few hours ago. >_< ) is to use Lash to clump up groups of infantry then bombard them with blasts (Vindicators, Defilers, Plasma Cannons (from Oblits) etc.) to waste basicaly anything. It's a NASTY tactic if the rest of your list can take apart any transports that shield said infantry squads.

Good luck! LOVE theme lists and Slaanesh holds a lot of ideas.

Daemon Princes should come in pairs as mentioned though lash isn't that cool and you don't have anything to capitalise on it.

Lord is ok but take dual claws. You don't need the plasma pistol.

Chosen are completely messed up. I have no idea what they're doing or purpose. Chosen are meant to have mass special weapons FYI

Noise Marines are stupidly expensive and not that awesome. Just get normal CSM with MoS.

Champions in CSM armies are just a rip off, I would drop them all unless definately required.

If you're going to take Raptors they should come in paired units. Though they are best for anti tank deep strike suicide.

Single Predator is perhaps the only threatening anti tank unit you have. I would get enough but stick with autocannon turret and lose the havoc launcher to reduce cost.

What's the real difference between a predator and a vindicator? I can't see why anyone would take a vindicator over a predator atm :/

I completely agree for a bunch of reasons. Namely cost is incredible, range is at least 2x the vindi, ability to keep fighting even after a weapon destroyed result (barring some silly mounted weapon), and their varied weapon choices allows them to be flexible.

The only reason to take a vindicator is if you are excellent at making your opponent bunch together (lash can help but it can be defeated too) or if he is lazy and doesn't keep his units at 2" coherency. The main cannon is a solid weapon for sure, but the vindicator just has so many drawbacks that it isn't worth taking imo. I'd really prefer to see our old defilers back with indirect fire+ordnance weapon(if they weren't then they should be now).

Welcome to Dakka!

As with the rest of the chorus; the issue with this list is that the units are loaded up with wargear that in some cases doesn't make them more effective at their main job, and in others just gives them a conflict of roles.

Here's a more efficient revision.

HQ:
Daemon Prince - Wings, Mark of Slaanesh and Lash of Submission: 155

Chaos Lord - Wings, Mark Of Slaanesh, Pair of Lightning Claws: 145

Elites:
Chosen Chaos Space Marines [6], 4x meltaguns, 3x meltabombs: 163
Rhino with Combi-Melta: 45

Troops:
Noise Marines [10] - Champion with Power Weapon & Doom Siren: 245
Rhino with Combi-melta: 45
Noise Marines [6] - Sonic Blaster x5, Blastmaster x1: 185
Noise Marines [6] - Sonic Blaster x5, Blastmaster x1: 185
Rhino with Havoc Launcher: 50

Fast Attack:
Chaos Raptors [5] - Aspiring Champion with Lightning Claws, Flamers x2: 150

Heavy Support:
Predator - Autocannon (turret), lascannon x2 (sponson), 130 Points

1498

Each unit has been tailored a bit to have more of a specific job, as opposed to being loaded with upgrades for conflicting roles. For example, it's usually not a good idea to have a squad with both upgrades which are only useful up close, and a 40pt heavy weapon which needs to stand still to be used.

Thanks for all the help guys, especially Mannahnin.
I'm used to playing a swarm Nids army with not many upgrades so I went a bit trigger-happy with making a small, elite army like GK's.

Alot of really constructive critisism
