Subject: Imperial guard qestions

I just started playing not long ago and my army is finally a decent size but some of the units confuse me.
Veterans- Are the an entire infantry choice on the foc since the arent a part of infantry platoons?
Valkarie- Can I have infantry inside of it and then deepstrike with them inside?
HQ- I have seen pictures with ind char hqs and then company command squads is this legal? (Ex. yarrick running around alongside a company command squad.)
Any info appreciated 
P.S. IDK if this is the correct forum.

A yes on all of these. Vets arent part of infantry platoons, they're a completely different choice. And Yarrick can join because he is an independent character.

You can take two HQ choices. e.g.
CCS + CCS
CCS + Lord Commissar
CCS + Yarrick
Yarrick + Lord Commissar
Note that priests and enginseers do not take up an HQ slot.
