So after a not so impressive round of Fantsy Ard Boyz last month, it's back to 40K for May!

All the usual stuff... 1850 points, $10 buy in or $20 purchase.

Starts at 10am. 3 rounds.

We'll be running GT style scenarios with bonus points. And extra prizes for favorite player and army.

Where exactly is this at? Im in Los Angeles, maybe a miles and time est. to get there?

We are in Brea, which is about 10 miles north of Disneyland and about 4 miles north of Cal State Fullerton.

From LA I would take either the 10 or the 60 fwy east to the 57 south. exit Imperial Hwy and we are just a couple blocks from the Freeway on Imperial. Address is at the bottom of the post.

the few times ive been to events there are anywhere from 1-3 people playing orks.Chaos on the other hand , a grip of people play chaos .

i would love to go to a big event like that but i cant afford it right now plus my army isnt up to painting standards or fully converted yet. Im hoping by the end of the year to have my stuff done and hit a few big events next year if i can,But till then ill stick to local shops and build up my winings

I actualy love the hard fought draws the best and that was a very fun game Azgrim. Anyone interested in checking this RTT out should as the store has a great crowd of people.

Personally this store has one of the best crowds of any store in the area

@ blasto0341, I have no problem with the squigoth, though there may be some concern with the footprint of it as compared to a Battlewagon. Do you consider it's four legs the main footprint?

I do believe I will be attending this one with one or more friends.

Thats the good thing about the LA area. Alot of FLGS that are always holding RTTs. If they all got together on a rotating schedule you would have enough to run a WFB and 40K RT on every alternating weekend rather than 2 or 3 stores running RTTs at the same time.
Interesting that San Diego has only 1 main FLGS (no Battle Bunker) 1 minor store in North County, and 2 small stores that are geared more to CCG than plastic dudes. In a county of 3 million.
Ktsap County (Washington state) has 7 stores (including a Bunker) in a 20 mile stretch serving 250,000.

not really threadomancy, but yes if stores got together and formed more of a gaming community rather than some stores having bad blood with gamers and stores it would make the whole LA/OC/IE area better as a whole

Yeah, I noticed that they are having a Sprue Posse RTT in Santa Monica, this RTT in Brea and another RTT at the Adventure's Guild in Riverside on the same day.

The RTTs are really spreading the tournament crowd around.

And the doubles tournament at the bunker this weekend as well. Too bad they are all the same weekend.

Well, GE is 2nd weekend, so Realm is 3rd weekend.

I'm not sure what if any system the other places are using.

The Sprue Posse runs their event about every 3 months. The team tournament at the Bunker is in different cities and travels around. Adventure's guild? Who knows.

GMI in Riverside does every 3rd Saturday, alternating between WFB and 40K.
If a major event is scheduled in the same weekend they tend to bump it up a week to avoid conflicts.

I am trying to stick to 3rd Saturday's, which is the same as GMI, but we are alternating or events. If I'm running 40K they will be running Fantasy.

Adventurers Guild on 3rd Saturday is new. At least as far as I know. We did have a couple players going to the doubles tourney, but the Bunker will do run events sporadically over most weekends, so it's kind of hard to schedule around that.

But yeah it's a light turnout today, hopefully in July we'll fill it up again.

Thanks to those who came to throw dice today.

Not to mention the Slaughter is next weekend, so alot of folks may be getting paint-n-prep done on new armies/units.
