Hi guys

I've given up waiting for Eldar mounted seer councils, so decided to convert them from the DE hellions kit, which I think looks great. My problem is making the riders look more warlock-like. Has anybody seen this done well before?

I can change the heads which is easy enough and trim off any spikes, but what I would really like is to put robes or at least cloaks on them. I cant think of any GW plastic kits that would have appropriate torso parts so Greenstuff is my only idea. Problem is I rarely use it and would not be confident sculpting robes at all.

Any ideas guys?

Well, don't you mean Dark Eldar Reavers rather than Hellions?

I'll assume you do.

I can't really think of anything GW-y that has sufficient robe-age or cloak-age except maybe Ravenwing stuff, but the feet would just be too ernormous for DE.

Greenstuff is probably the way to go. Look around for some tutorials, you should be able to find a few...

Guardian helmets can be finned up or given a GS collar (at the back) to make them look Warlocky. cloaks can be made rather easily from GS, and rune armour is tricky, but can also be sculpted.

I made up a couple of Warlocks from spare guardians based on some pictures in the 3rd ed Eldar Codex - and they wouldn't fit too badly on the hellion skyboards.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
