I have looked through my codex's the box picture, and the website. Seems GW's builders didn't remember the vindicator has a stormbolter. Silly GW.

The UM vindicator on the box and website and um codex has no SB when it should, that is all. Just a little attention to detail.

I think you could spend the rest of your month listing kits that don't have every optional or default bit included in the box. It has been this way as long as I can remember and probably longer.
A great deal of the (fun of the, imho) hobby is converting models to fit your army. That may mean adding bits of wargear to meet the requirements of the army list entry.
Welcome to WH40k!

Not even the most-spammed tank, the Razorback, has everything it should.

I was taking to my friend who plays Orks the other day. He was building Killa Kans, and wanted to put rocket launchers on them but the kit didn't have enough for all the models. He was either going to have to find some separate bits online or mod some out of weapons he didn't want.

It's one reason why I tell people to but the Eldar battleforce when they want a war walker.
The WW comes with a weapons shrue, but to get 2 scatter lasers, you'll need the weapon platform that comes with the Guardians.

I don't think you understood the original post, or I phrased it poorly. Its not missing bits, it is improperly built and illustrated by GW.

No, I got it. You could spend quite a bit of time going over all the things built, sold and illustrated by GW that don't match the rules. They have 20-30 years worth of minis that you are looking to have match a 5th edition codex made in the last couple. It isn't going to happen.
Heck, even the new stuff doesn't always match.
