Might need to flesh out the rest of your world a little No good us giving you a whole heap of awesome Star Port ideas if you're running a caveman campaign etc etc.

Inspired/shamelessly stealing from an old WFRP article years and years ago

this one in fact http://www.scribd.com/doc/17797408/Black-Industries-Lost-Files-The-Great-Hospice

I nearly always have something similar in my campaigns. I've sued it as a stand in "Arkham asylum" at times and also have fun with the different "guests". If you think about the amount of time travelling, trans dimensional journeying, continuity rewipes, terrifying monsters and mind affecting spells and abilities there really should be an incredible amount of...... damaged.... individuals knocking about in your average fantasy world.

.. So... he could just be a crazy guy in the asylum. ...or maybe he really is the reincarnation of amightyherofromthepast. Or a king under a curse. Or a lost time traveller. Or a ploymorphed monster. Or etc etc

This might be cool as well http://www.scribd.com/doc/17797209/Black-Industries-Lost-Files-The-Emperor-Luitpold

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Heroes of Old have been in stasis for 1000 years, only to be awoken when the world was in dire peril once again. That time is now.

A fortnight prior, something bad has begun, wheels are in motion and our heroes are awakened by the Warden, Pandanus.

It is up to them to eplore and discover what they face and best it.

Much has changed from the medieval fantasy world they knew. The Industrial era approaches, so there are semi-industrialised cities/places emerging. Black powder and experimental machines (steam/magic-powered). Magic and technology are interchangable. Wonderous devices such as the Zepplin are in prototype stages.

There second session was last night and they have discovered that the undead are rising in extreme numbers...

Is this some move by Orcus to wrestle power from the Raven Queen or something more sinister?
