Is there any point running BA assault terminators without a Sang Preist? Or are Sang Guard the only way to go. Reason being I like the assault terminator models more then the Sang Guard...

Thunder Hammer Terminators, regardless of Chapter, are among the best melee units in the game. There's not much, apart from some horde-like units like Boy squads, that can take a charge from TH Termies and expect to win.

Its funny that BA assault is so good that someone can question whether running the *lesser* version is worthwhile.

As walrus pointed out, TH/SS terminators are amazing no matter what SM army you play. Yes Furious Charge and FNP make them better, but that doesn't lessen the value of the unit *without* those upgrades. Bog Standard hammer terminators will find something to wreck no matter what army you play against.

I get that assault terminators have better stats armour and look amazing compared to the girls in gold but ive been looking at builds and no one seems to run TH/SS terminators just wondering why??

I've been toying with Adding Terminators to my BA force too. For exactly the same reason. So This is as much to subscribe as anything else, But I wanted to run them with LC and maybe one or 2 TH/SS... To take advantage if the Initiative and not risk taking casualties. I know the Storm shields reduce this, but still LC's are cool!!! I was gonna run 5, and Add a Snag preist in Terminator Armour, for survivability and Deep strike them by my Assault squads to spread the FNP/FC Loving.
