I am building a TH/SS shrike list on the side to use for fun, mainly against grey knights

Here is the unfinished list

Shrike- 195pts
10x TH/SS Terminators- 400pts
5x TH/SS or Lysander- 200pts
5x scouts,sniper, camo, missile- 100pts
5x Scouts, shotguns, Powerfist/meltabombs- 105pts

I cannot decide between Lysander or 5x TH/SS

Pros for Lysander:
4 WS 6 str 10 ap 1 hits, will fill the anti- AV14 the list lacks. Also good against TWC and walkers
Don't lose attacks when losing wounds
Bolster for scouts
Will be able to attach to Shrikes squad, so everyone infiltrates
Cheaper $$$ wise

Pros for TH/SS:
getting 10 attacks or 15 on the charge (although decreasing for every wound)
one more 2+/3++ wound then Lysander
More models for Intimidation factor and multi assaults


I am leaning more toward Lysander, but feedback welcome.

I'm not 100% on the rulings, but if Lysander can infiltrate with Shrike and 10 TH/SS termies, then use him.
It won't be easy to win with, it will require careful and successful assaults, being careful with your Scouts, and lucky saves on Terminators...

Too specialized. I'd take a mix of Termies,
10 Termies w/ 2 cyclones and 10 Assault Termies, led by Lysander.
Bolter drill for storm bolters is awesome.

Terminator sales must have shot up with all those Grey Knight armies to beat! I've played an almost identical list to this in the past. It worked great with the combination of rules - it just mashed everything in front of it and the scouts picked up the pieces and it makes for a good legal army at that scale. Very little has the firepower to slow it down effectively.

Could you not sneak a heavy bolter on the second scout squad (and I'd probably lose the powerfist and swap out the shotguns to make room and change the emphasis of this squad - these guys aren't your assault team - but your fire support)?

Either way its a good list and fun too (but expect to get bored after a few games - it isn't very varied). Of course it can slot into a bigger army list pretty easily with a couple or three tactical squads and rhinos.
