The new Dark Eldar Models are amung the most incredible looking models ever and with that Talos thing and the second wave. They just stunned me. Probably since because for years Dark Eldar players have been made fun of for having the ugliest models ever.

Anyone else think new Necro or Tau etc codex will also have super cool looking models? I mean they started with SW codex and gave them bad ass looking basic troops. Then kicked it up a notch with BA and giving them a sweet ass transport. Grey Knights have the coolest looking termi's and special units. Dark Eldar has the coolest looking over all army with all of its extra stuff in it.

I wonder what the next army is gonna be and how its gonna improve on its design? Maybe necrons come out and they redesign the Monolyth or have even cooler looking immortals and Wraiths and like 5 new models never seen before?

I think the Warriors look fine the way they are. Same with the Monolith.

Aside from the Tomb Spider... which looks too clunky... looking good is about the only thing the current Necron have going for them over the other armies.

The current Necron style works very well, but if any of the rumours in the 'Fairly solid rumour' thread, then they're getting a bunch of new stuff such as transports and what-not. So this gives GW the chance to make some really good models that fit in with the Necron theme without having to redo any of the already good Necron models.

It all depends on the sculptors, really. Jes Goodwin has outdone himself on the Dark Eldar, and just about anything he touches turns to gold. GW have had mostly hits with their latest sculpts so I don't see why that won't continue.

Jes Goodwin is an excellent sculptor and creative artist and this was his love child with no restrictions in former sculpts nor time.
Otherwise GW seems to have no concept control loop, so things like Storm Raven, Dreadknight, Minotaurs, Pumbagor and others are produced as well. And Space Marines will stay Space Marines, not much room for change there.

CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT!

All they need to do is continue updating older models and codices (CSM, SoB, and Eldar come to mind) because many that came before were all-metal, ugly IMHO, or metal and ugly. Most recent GW models have been sweet as hell (except for the DreadKnight, I like the Stromraven though) as they improve their plastic sculpt quality. We need that srt of quality across the board.

I've been consistently impressed with each 40k release since the space wolves launch. I really hope they keep up the good work in the sculpting department.
