So I'm looking at a possible GK army and am wanting to start with a semi to fairly competative list primarily based around PAGKs and a few units that I just like:

HQ
- Mordrak
- 4x Ghost Knights (1x banner, 1x hammer, 2 x halberds)

- Librarian
- Mastery 3 (MoT, QS, Shroud, Summon), Nemesis sword

Elite
- Vindicare

- Purifier Squad
- 4x Purifiers (1x hammer, 2x halberds, 2x psycannons), 1x KotF (1x halberd)

- Purifier Squad
- 4x Purifiers (1x hammer, 2x halberds, 2x psycannons), 1x KotF (1x halberd)

Troop
- Strike Squad
- 9x Knights (7x swords, 2x psycannons), 1x Justicar (1x hammer), 1x Rhino

- Strike Squad
- 9x Knights (7x swords, 2x psycannons), 1x Justicar (1x hammer), 1x Rhino

Heavy Support

- Psyrifleman Dread

- Psyrifleman Dread

- Psyrifleman Dread

The main issue I'm having is balancing the purifiers and strike squad's size and transports. Turn two I can pull a couple squads up to the termis with the summoning (or drop to mastery 2 to save some points and pull a single squad). I can always play around with combat squadding and hijack other squads rides, or put warp stabilization on a transport and pull it and the squad inside through. I've just played around with so many configurations in my head at this point that I keeping running in circles so I'm looking for some advice.

This is just my personal opinion from playing against GKs, but i don't like it....

I haven't seen Modrak and his Ghost Knights used before, but reading his rules i'm not overly impressed, so that puts an immediate dampener on the list for me.
The Librarian is nice, i think potentially the best HQ choice for GK.

Your rhinos stick out... If Purifiers were in Rhinos as well, that would really increase the viability of this list for me.
Vindicare and Dreads are nice, i think unless going for a themed GK list, they should very high up in your priorities.

Well, it's entirely possible to go with a GKGM and regular a regular GKT squad. The tradeoffs, without looking at points are:

GKT: Scoring and can get psycannons and the GKGM can get the tasty grenades.
Mordrak and Co.: Can very easily get them in a forward position quickly, which gets the summoned squads into action that much quicker. Can also possible replenish a termi or two, but I'm not counting on it.

On the purifiers/rhinos, like I said, the GKPA squads and transports are very much open to change, but the points to change have to come from somewhere. The idea currently was to pull them forward with the libby.

Troop
- Strike Squad
- 9x Knights (7x swords, 2x psycannons), 1x Justicar (1x hammer), 1x Rhino

- Terminator Squad
-4x Terminators (1x banner, 3x falchions, 1x psycannon), 1x Justicar (1x falchion)

Heavy Support

- Psyrifleman Dread

- Psyrifleman Dread

- Psyrifleman Dread

The big purifier squad combat squads, with one of them carjacking the rhino from the strike squad. The three purifier squads move up with the rhinos blocking LOS to the termies+libby+GKGM who advance with them. Strike squads hang on home objectives, and everything else provides fire support.
