Anyone have any info about this book? Apparently they're sold out.

I also noticed that the BL blurb mentions that this story is an 'exclusive' not to appear in print for 2 years yet it's in the HH series. How will this affect the 'great unwashed' who won't get a copy for some time... or am I missing something.

Limited Edition...
It won't affect much as people can still find out the story but for those that prefer to remain ignorant until they can read it properly... they have a long wait.

The books looks good though as it appears to have some artwork in it. I don't know if it was worth $50...

Et In Arcadia Ego

I've got a copy, #51 in fact.

It is indeed a short story, with a few colour plates in the books centre -- think the armour schemes from the Index Astartes articles and you won't be far off.

It basically details a pre Istvaan battle of the Salamanders, with some cameos by the Iron Hands and Death Guard ( although the latter almost literally are incidental) fighting some Eldar exodites.

We also get some flashbacks to Vulkan's life prior to the arrival of the Emperor.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Uhhh, sounds cool. Hopefully it'll make its way into an anthology down the line.

I believe there are plans to reprint it and others of this ilk, but not for at least 2 years.

All in all, as a completist I'm happy to have it, but overall it's not worth the high price on content alone IMO. I have high hopes however for the follow up "The Aurelian" by Mr. Dembski-Bowden.
