Hey, Im looking for any DE vets that are willing to share their knowledge with a new DE player.
Here's what Im looking at right now:
2 squads of 9 wyches, each squad has a syren (PW), one hydragauntlet, and everyone has haywire grenades
2 raiders with flickers
2 ravagers with flickers
archon with the huskblade

Any obvious weaknesses stand out? I want to know before I even have a game.
Thanks guys, your help is appreciated
Kevin

I hope the Archon has a shadow field he'll need it. Why have you selected Hydragauntlets? Razorflails do more damage on 5 out of 6 combat drug results so why take an option that costs the same to do less damage?

But other than that I'd go with agonisers on the Hekatrixes and the Archon rather than power weapons and Huskblade. The Archon has enough attacks to get the job done without a Huskblade, so even against MCs you're pretty much as well off with an Agonizer as a Huskblade.

You're an assaulty list without a massive assault hitting power. But you've good AT fire and CC ability between the 8 Darklances and Haywire grenades. Just don't expect too much from the wyches they don't hit as hard in CC as you might expect.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Ooh, no he does not have a shadow field. That might be a good idea its a nice perk. But cant I connect him to a wych squad? I thought I could do that... Sorry I'm new and my cousin is borrowing my 40k rulebook lol. Im rule-less for the time being. Thought you could connect independants to squads.
I figured the hydragauntlets would be better, they certainly looked nice. it was a tossup for me. Ill go with your knowledge though on that one as I havent done any test rolling yet.
As a whole though, is this on its way to becoming the best 750 point force you can get? I'm not certian about its build at all, its one of those seems-ok-on-paper lists. I have a feeling someone can take out my AT or anti infantry very easily and ill just get opened up like a tin can lol. Im looking for someone who knows a build that can work for whatever anyone throws at me.. Im going to be playing IG most frequently but I dont want an insanely high AT list either. I just want something that can hold its own against any army without being too AT or too AI. Know what I mean?

At 750 "well rounded" tends to not exist. Presuming we are talking a pure hypothetical of what I see as rounded for DE at that point level;

If I wanted to go "well rounded" at 750 I'd probably focus on a combo of Ravagers w. Lances and Venoms w. 5 man Warrior squads with Blasters and an S.Cannon upgrade to the Venom.

I'd avoid the Archon as a point sink, and use one Haemon to maximize my ability to bring more men and vehicles to the board.

Strong alpha strike ability with s.cannons and Lances, Blasters help bring pain to mech and heavy armor infantry, lances and s.cannons just spray down everything, and you move too fast for the enemy to catch you (hopefully).
