Subject: Faith and Fire Re-issue as Sister of Battle book 1

A quick search on Amazon.com revealed that Faith and Fire by James Swallow "has not been released yet" but is due to release on November 29, 2011. I've never seen this for a book that's been out for so long and I couldn't help noticing it's been given the added subtitle "Sister of Battle 1." I saw on the Black Library rumor thread that there is a rumored Sisters of Battle book in the works so maybe that will be book 2 in the same series and maybe have some of the same characters?
I also think the November date might hint on a Sister of Battle codex update for THIS year instead of next year. Clarification: I know GW has every right to release some stuff one year and some stuff the next and not all at once. I am also openly stating this as speculation about the codex release date based on the BL book. I have no "sources" inside GW.
Just the same, it's interesting to me and I wanted to share it. Has anyone ever seen something like a reissue of an old book close to the release date of a codex? What do you think this reissue means?

Good catch on the book, but I will caution you that Amazon is *notoriously* bad about release dates. Still good information, and perhaps someone will eventually add what they know to corroborate.

I doubt it. The Necron book has been out for a while, that update's up before SoB.

James Swallow had a bit about this on his blog not too long ago... same characters and a continuation of a SoB life. No mention as to if the hospitaller will be back though. He said the book was finished and heading through editing while he did the audiobook script which is a prequel to Faith and Fire.

It has been on the BL site for almost a year now under the "Coming Soon" section.

So yes, the Hospitaller is in the new book.

I never checked out the BL site until you mentioned this... D'oh! It's been there all this time! lol
There's also a Red & Black coming out this October with different artwork than the books but no other information for $17. Seems pricey compared to the $7.99 for Faith & Fire or Hammer & Anvil. Maybe it's an omnibus of the two books? Or maybe it's an audiobook? Does anyone know?

It's an audiobook. ~75 minutes.

James Swallow has come a long ways as a writer since Faith and Fire, which I didn't think was too thrilling a book.
