I live in Pleasant Hill, but frequently spend time in San Jose. I'm new to 40k and I'd love to find some people who are patient enough to play through a few games with me and help me learn the game. I've read the rulebook of course and am working on painting my army, but I've never actually played a game.

Check by Black Diamond Games over by the Fry's in Concord. They run a 40k escalation league every Monday. They've also got a beginner's day, but its a mostly younger crowd.

Sorry to jack your thread but I need help as well since I am returning to this hobby/addiction after a long break. My last experience was with 3rd edition and all the new rules in 5th just have me all over the place. I also just finished modeling up my new SM army and I am currently working on a GK. I also just finished my very own 4x6 game table in my garage so if anyone is down I would love to have some battles to try it out.

Actually Dauntless and I christened my new game table in the garage last Friday with a battle between Nid's and Ultras. I think we were planning to get together again either this Thursday or Friday. Your welcome to stop by and check it out. Just hit me up.
