The answer to your question will be determined by your choice of warlock, your ability to use him in game and local meta. I hear mostly good things about him, he is like many legion models a bit of a glass cannon.

Typhon's a great beast. I think he works best with Vayl, but certainly likes Absylonia and either Thagrosh. Absylonia can give him reach for extra threat range (and to prevent reach models from stopping his gunfighter sprays by engaging from > 0.5" ) or forced evo for the extra STR and DEF. pThag can give him extra STR and bring him back with the feat, while eThag can give him extra ARM for survivability. Plus, both Thags have an affinity that they'll both heal for 3 when Typhon forces for regenerate. Not great but not bad, that.

You are using two of the person that would typhon very very much, Abyslonia can add more utility to typhon, eThagrosh with Typhon is awesome, manifest destiny means you get three attacks with 3 dice, dropping one. With typon this can mean three sprays, and give him ARM
pThag can give typhon STR but that is about it

Manifest Destiny affects only melee attacks.

He's a beast with Absylonia (don't play with Thags). All 3 of her buffs can do wonders with him and gives you plenty of versatility for many situations.
Though if you want something truly beastly, put him with Rhyas.
Mat 8 Rat 6 I hear you say? Yes please.

Yeah you really can't go wrong with typon. I have never taken him and wished I had a carny and 1 sheppard insted. The model is great too. Though a bit small IMO. He is pure awsomeness!

Oh? Now I remember why Manifest is crappier than SnP, anyhow this still means 3 base semi-boosted attacks
It's the same like Beast-09 , you can't go really wrong with Typhon
