What do you think. If these are the heroes of each god, why arent they daemon princes?

they champion their cause better as they are, and have recieved blessings already.

And maybe perhaps they are happy as they are, non prince wise (Except maybe Huron, I can see him happily sheding the ranks of mortals and becoming a DP)

Besides, Kharn Daemon Prince? Isn't that a Angron?

They are all pretty happy the way they are, I mean, they do what they do best without being a Daemon Prince.

Fabius doesn't follow Slaanesh so doesn't have favour. He left the Emperors Children before they properly embraced it.

Ahriman isn't a favoured of Tzeentch really, he's just been roped into it by Magnus actions.

I think Typhus might be the only one to become a Prince but he is the carrier of the Destroyer Hive, couldn't get more favoured by Nurgle than that.

If the Warsmith from Storm of Iron is anything to go by, if they were to become Daemon Princes they might not care so much about what drives them. In the warp they can pretty much do anything they want. I would give up war and dream myself up a yacht and spend my days with some hoes, drinking margaritas.

Afterall even the best Champion of Chaos can be reduced to spawndom.

On moon miranda.

I don't think any of these characters are searching for daemonic apotheosis. Abaddon has been offered it and refused. Most are having too much fun where they are, they don't have any greater ambitions that what they're already doing. The only exception may be Typhus, he could make a decent Daemon Prince, but I also think he works very well for what he is and is doing now, and possibly Huron who is very power hungry.

Kharn has no interest in ascension to the ranks of Daemonhood, both he and khorne are satisfied for where he is at.

Lucius, like Kharn, is probably pretty satisfied just running amock doing whatever he wants, with little desire to ascend to Daemonhood.

Fabius isn't really Daemon Prince material.

Ahriman likewise, has little interest in the whole Daemon thing and in fact cast a mighty spell to hold at bay mutations and possessions. He is interested in knowledge and not Daemonic status.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Because that would mean they get the Daemon special rule and they want to be immune to some of the GK stuff a little longer.

I’ve thought about this topic myself a lot over the years. Since GW never progress the storyline in any shape or form, I doubt we’ll ever see DP incarnations of the CSM special characters. Given Abaddon’s strong profile already, if he were to become a DP, he’d probably become an Apoc character (that would eat Mephiston and the Nightbringer for breakfast).

I think one of the reasons, most of the CSM special characters aren’t DPs already is because they are pretty much content as they are now. I reckon most of the viable candidates (which is everyone bar Huron and Fabius) would eventually ascend to DP status in the future but not until they achieve some sort of major personal goal (such as Abaddon conquering Cadia, Ahriman finding the Black Library etc)

Update: Ahriman CANT become a daemon prince because of the rubric of ahriman. ( the spell he cast to stop his legion mutating to chaos )

Tzeentch could get rid of the rubric quite easily, but I think he allows it to stay as it proved Ahriman's power, potential and willingness, and also allows the ranks of the Thousand Sons to be more or less static in number. When a TSon dies, he's simply transferred to a new suit of armour as opposed to the mortal ranks who need to find new recruits.

It's also a testament as to what the Thousand Sons can do; Ahriman and other sorcerers were powerful enough to weave a spell that affected a whole legion (or what remained of it) and ward off the powers of Chaos; in the millenia since that occured, what could have happened other than Ahriman becoming vastly more powerful? How are you supposed to a compete with that?

There's also the fact that if the spell was broken, since there's no mortal body left every TSon would die and there'd be no marines left.
