I've been looking for something to do with the 5 dollar wartrakk model. I've seen a few conversions from Wartrakk to Grot tank so I gave it a go. Tossed a wartrakk on the bandsaw to de-track and fender it.

WIP. Mocked up with wartrakk track.

The turret fits the original double dakka from wartrakk model. I will probably mount an IG auto canon in it.

Turret ring also fits rhino hatches and the indent on the roof fits killer kan close combat arms. The gun on the front can be used to mount the drill weapon from the killer kan set.

Poor orks... Why can't they be the good guys for once?

Looking good so far.

I did something similar but kept the trakk chassis, minus the bike front. Mine will count as Kanz, so I made sure to keep to the same dimensions and armament as a standard kan.

Thanks, I looked through a few others people had done that kept the chassi. I was tempted to do the same but whoever owned these trakks(3) prior to myself plastic glued the motorcycle front end on. I busted the front of the chassis out when I removed it. Can't complain about $5 ebay specials I guess.

This is the same length+width as the wartrakk and can mount the same twin linked big shoota. I have an alternate simple front plate without the gun and an alternate roof+turret ring that lacks the KK arm socket block. (to match the trakk or KK load out) Can be used as a KK or wartrakk but the body is 2cm longer than the KK round base. Thinking I will mold and cast both versions, should be about $3 worth of resin to recast the body+turret as single pieces.

I have a Rebel Grot unit I'm working on, these should look right at home there.
