Boyz slog it with the Kans, Mek attaches to the nobz in trukk and they hang back/hug terrain/cover till they get an opening to engage in CC.
Kans offer mobile cover fire support to pop transports and annoy termies.
Koptas suicide tanks.

I know conventional wisdom is to not run a single trukk, but I'm hoping for terrain advantage and a nice rush in to CC. My only hesitation is the Mek, perhaps it's better in the boys mob
where it can give the kans more survivability?

I would put the mek with the boys behind the kans to give the kans more survivability, the boys should get 4+ from the kans
