I haven't touched fantasy in over a year now and i have 6000pts of high elves doing nothing currently, but my local FLGS has convinced me that I can have fun playing it so I'm looking to get back into it again.
If someone could make a 2250 list using the models I have to give me a starting point it would be greatly appreciated, heres the list of models:

griffon mounted hero/prince
4 mages
mounted bsb
foot bsb
mage w/dragon
prince w/dragon
mounted prince/hero
70 spear elves w/3-4 command
50 archers
12 knights w/command
5 ellyrian reavers
30 phoenix guard w/2 command
25 swordmasters w/2 command
4 RBT
4 lion chariots

A massive amount of models that just collect dust so it'd be nice if they got some sunlight.

Thanks for looking and for any help you can provide!

4000 pts, 4000pts, 4000pts, 2000pts,
1500pts, (daemons)2000pts, 4500pts, 3170pts, 1500pts, 2500pts, 1850pts

Man oh man. With those models there are so many lists you could make. Having such a diverse amount of stuff to chose from is making my mind boggle with the possibilities.

Hows about some more info? What do you want this army to do? Are you wanting to make sure those dragons are used? Do you want this to be a purely foot slogging masterpiece? Want to shoot things to death before your hammer unit chops them up?

I'd like to hear more about your play style and what vision you may (or may not) have before I advise on this one. Looking forward to it though!

thanks for the quick reply! my play style usually involves a very balanced hybrid list involving a mini-deathstar to take care of things that the rest of my army can't handle. (coming from a 40k perspective, but maybe I'm looking at it wrong) I guess getting one dragon in would make it more fun but the rest footslogging I wouldn't mind.

Sorry I'm not much help but I honestly don't know how I would play in fantasy, I play crap-tons of competitive 40k and I love playing hybrid armies in that system so...

I hope that gives a bit more insight haha, thanks ahead of time for anything you could help me out with.

Fuegan,
Sorry I can't get intomore depth yet, but here's my 2cp:
Try one dragon (perhaps a dragonmage if you like 'em).
15-20 PG w/cmd as your anvil/mage bunker(I like magic resist banners for PG).
20-30 spears/LSG w/cmd (anvil/tarpit and char bunker).
5 E-reavers w/musician as cannon hunters.
5-10 knights (Silver Helms? Dragon Princes?) w/cmd as hammer.
BSB will be key, probably in a foot unit.
2 mages minimum.
I take a chariot whenever I can fit it in, I love the lion chariot model. :-)
I usually take 1-2 eagles as well; I used my griff model as a sub in friendly home games before my actual eagle models arrived.

Should fit into 2250 or thereabouts, depending on gear loadout.
Looking forward to seeing other input and your list!

Alrighty. Sorry for the slow response, but I've been working really long hours the past few days. Here's a list you might like - lots of boots with a dragon to back them up!

Lords

Prince on Moon Dragon
Armor of Caledor, Vambraces, GW, Pot of Str

Heroes

Mage Level 2
Seerstaff

Mage Level 2
Annulian Crystal

BSB
Dragon Armor, Shield, GW

Core

Archers x 11 with Music
Archers x 11 with Music

Spears x29 with FC and Lion Standard

Spec

Phoenix Guard with FC and Banner of Arcane Protection

Rare

3 RBT's

A mage in each archer unit, bsb in the spears. Hit the enemy as hard as you can with shooting before he reaches you. Then charge in right as he you see him get within range with buffed spears and PG.

Any buffing lore works well with this list so that would be your call.

Eeek. I have already erased the list. I am pretty sure it was a full block of 20.

Lore of life, beasts, shadow, and our own high elf lore would be nice - especially getting curse of arrow attraction.

i play high elves have the mage with the seerstaff pick High Magic and choose Shield and Curse of Arrow attraction
with 3 Bolt throwers and 22 archers at the same target will make mincemeat of anything and have the other mage take Lore of life or Lore of Shadow some great spells in there

Finished:
1,500pts
2,000pts
2,000pts High elves
