Well, just finished up a pair of Land Speeder Typhoons for my Lamenters army, and I was hoping to combine both battle damage seen on my Storm Ravens and infantry since the pilots are heavily exposed on the speeders.

Anyways, I've named the Typhoons "Stormclaw" and "Talisman". Stormclaw got its name because in it's course of being built, it ended up sitting through a storm of models I made and patiently sat there, waiting to be painted. Talisman garnered its name simply by being lucky and surviving falling off my local GW's painting and slamming into the floor. Didn't get stepped on by the busy people either, their feet missing it by inches.

On to the models! Enjoy!

Taxi cabs of death! I like them!

Especially like how they're dirty and weathered.

The weathering is nice. I'd like to see some checkerboard on the speeders themselves!

Hah, thanks guys!

And for the checker- pattern on the speeders themselves, I wasn't sure I wanted to run them since I feel the vehicle is too small for them, and they would be largely out of place as opposed to larger surface areas found on Rhino chassis' and Storm Ravens.

You might consider going up to a step brighter on the metal. It's well done otherwise, but for some reason the boltgun metal looks unfinished to my eye.

Funny you say that. actually did Boltgun metal with highlights of Chainmail and a dusting of Mithril Silver, followed by a few washes of Badab Black and then the weathering. Haha, I wonder what else I could do....

a very light dusting of chainmail after the wash? the lighting of the pics might also be to blame. I have a hell of a time getting pics I take to look like they do in normal light. the translation from item to camera to screen messes with stuff. they look pretty sweet, though.
