What are some of your lucky shots that have helped change the tide of battle?

My best was either late 3rd or early 4th, back when you still had two damage charts for vehicles. My scout missle Launcher on turn one fired at my opponnets Monolith. I got a 6 to hit, 6 to pen, and rolled a 6 to destroy. Even though it was turn one, he was never able to recover.

The worst against me, Apoc game. I flanked Marched my HellHammer behind there lines, and destroyed several units. On his turn a single Lascannon destroyed my undamaged Super Heavy.

still tied but my first ever chance to death or glory and clutch since i had to get a 6 to hit having moved all out to ram

A single shot, can't remember what from, through a window killed a necron warrior and caused the whole army to phase out, just before the nightbringer was about to rip through my entire army.

You realize that the DOG hits auto right?

Last game I played the enemy's Eldar Pathfinder one-shotted a Hellhound....that was shameful.

One of my battlewagons using a kannon manged to snake-eyes DT in a minefield and sits there, while I wait for it to repair itself. I take a random S8 shot at a Devilhound across the table since the wagon was going nowhere during turn two, hit on a six, penetrate on a six, explode on a six. Two less flamers to worry about

The slugga from a nob of shoota boys put the last wound on a DP of sleneesh.

The prince then failed his invul.

Massive melee in the middle of the board involving almost all of both armies.
Everyone eventually dies barring my captain who survives due to some awesome luck.
Captain promptly gets nailed by a lascannon shot from a guard heavy weapons team.

Lielith just finished off a grey knight terminator squad by her self and then got killed by a lone guardsman after failing to even hit him.

A single shot changing a game? I once had a single sentinel nearly table a necron player with a single shot, and, combined with a failed morale test and absolutely stellar placement, I once had Marbo singlehandedly throw a chaos army into defeat.

Not all that common, of course, but they're called lucky shots for a reason...

As far as bad luck, I lost a game by one kill point because Mephiston failed to kill a single tact marine in close combat. Every attack missed.

I lost by two kill points when the Ork Shokk Gun Rolled boxcars on my Hammer Head. The Rail Gun would have taken him out next shot too.

Lost by 1 kill point when my Wierdboy Rolled a 2, and the only unit in range was my wierdboy...

One bright lance in my entire opponent's army, it kills my leman russ executioner turn 1.

Two which are basically a tie, kind of cause they seem cool when you picture them though.

SoB vs Orks in 6 man kill team game. Some Orks race up in a truk. Sister superior levels bolt pistol and shoots it head on. Truk is immobilised and the following turn is rushed by the nearby enemy they had to pass. Think it was nids.

3 man character bash with a Canoness. It was against a fully equipped DE Archon of doom and Abaddon. They charge each other and the Canoness just watches for a few turns as any hits from them would actually be an instant death, well with the first one ignored. Several turns pass and they just keep bouncing off of each other. Finally Abaddon gets lucky and smashes the Archon down, but the Archon knocks Abaddon to one wound. The now free Abaddon comes rushing towards my Canoness, he'll only need to get into CC to win the game basically. Anyway he fails his charge, following turn Canoness shoots him in the face and wins the game.

Single laspistol shot from my IG officer, just above half str. Hits and kills a dp after a Pycannon spam GK squad failed to wound.

My evesor assassin oneshotting Marneus Calgar. The look of horror on my opponents face was worth it.

My vindicator one hitting a DSing dquad of ork commandos, resulted in my opponent literally throwing out his dice.

Pink Horror killing a Land Raider- I was impressed (And incidentlly bought a new Lord of Change model)

Also had a single Khorne Berserker, sole survivor of his squad charge heroicly into a squad of LC termies, his plasma pistol nailing one and his axe clove another two, to only be locked in combat until more Zerkers arrived.

Khárn was proud.

Years back, in thrid ed when we had THREE damage charts. Glancing, penetrating, and ORDNANCE. First shot of the game, Ordnance Basilisk on a Land Raider with the uber-death star of Marines and ICs inside it. Penetrated, Ordnance 6 result, which meant that not only did the vehicle explode an automatic 6", but everyone inside died. Died, not took a wound and got a save. They died. Pretty much game over at that point.

My immobalized monolith used it's particle whip to try to destroy a battlewagon with a KFF before the warboss finishes it off with his claw, the shot takes a wide bank back onto itself, landing dead on a corner and catching most of the boss' nob squad. I destroy my own monolith and kill a good chunk of the mob and in the grand explosion I kill more surrounding orks locked in nearby combats enough to cause morale checks across the table. Thanks to a lone pariah and my lord, each of them test on ld 7 and suddenly the entire ork army is in full retreat. It turned from an early phase out to chasing them off the table.

I had a chaos dred go into CC with a SM dred. The SM dred kicked my ass and left me with just a working bolter. He turned his dred around and walked off to kill more, I shot, rolled a 6, rolled another 6, KABKLOOWY! I miss 4th sometimes lol



Also, I have a grot with a golden gun, because during a kill team match we made up before the battles book came out, I was doing well enough, but a lone SM took the objective and was trying to run away with it to win. Any Ork that was within range, missed horribly. I had 1 grot in range. He steadied his aim, and sent that SM to his grave

That's Karma and all, but he should not of been able to leave Combat. Since both Dreads have a WS they are locked until one is destroyed.

He did say 4th Ed so it might have worked differently.

I've not really had a "lucky shot" yet. The moments where it could spring up don't due to somewhat misfires, otherwise the opponent gets them

My las-pred shot up a Slaaneshi greater daemon that had deepstriked behind it, then my khorne lord (full khorne kit) turns round a takes the last wound off it with his bolt pistol....aaahh good times.

Fateweaver Takes every shot from a 2500 nid army turn one, nothing gets through. Turn two a single spawned gaunt shots him, he takes it and runs off like a little sissy.

In Another game fateweaver and two DP's take a few shots at two trygons and a tyrant. both trygons die to fire and the tyrant gets mutated into a chaos spawn.

Maybe he shot me to pieces? This happened like 6 years ago so the how is a bit fuzzy.....but the end result was still the same
