Does anyone have any idea what he looks or looked like? I couldnt find a description in the books and i wanted to make an alternate head that was helmetless for him. i made one head with green stuff and it kind of looks like the veteran sgt from the DA box set. Hopefully im atleast close.

He looks like a space marine They all look pretty much the same don't they? Except skin color they all look like steroid enhanced monsters.

They look different from each other obviously.
Look at Calgar compared to Grimnar for example.

Arhiman was a Terran AFAIK though i am not sure which part of Terra...

Ahriman and his brother were taken from the 'Achaemenid Empire' of circa 30k. If you extrapolate a little bit, we know our 'Achaemenid Empire' was centered roughly around the fertile crescent with it's capital located in what is now modern day Iran. The actual Achaemenid Empire encompassed much of what is now Egypt, Turkey, Parts of Greece and Bulgaria and stretching to modern Pakistan and all those lands in between. The peoples in those lands were extremely varied in ancient times. Perhaps even more than they are today.

Alexander the Greats Empire follows the exact same foot print with the addition of Macedonia and greece.

While I understand it is quite a stretch to assume that the people of modern day Iran and those of 30k would look even remotely similar, I think this is a good starting point as I believe this was the authors intent in the first place.

ha yea cs goto isnt much of a "source". thanks Uhlan i forgot about the thousand sons having egyptian backround. Scarab occult and what not. I think im just going to give him short hair and tanned skinned. maybe make him look like the guys from the "jersey Shore"? ha kidding on the last bit

Google some of the egyptian pharoahs. They should give you a baseline to work off of. Also remember that all marines are aslo somewhat of a clone of their Primarch, so he would likely bear some similiar traits to Magnus. I just got done reading A Thousand Sons, but i don't recall any descriptions of him...
