This form isn't for these kinds of threads. There is no news of a Plastic Release and I don't think it will be released any time soon.

I did read a rumor of a tyranid wave of releases that would include a plastic hive tyrant later this year, but I have my doubts about that. Would be nice though!

The hive tyrant is part of the first wave of fine cast resin models that come out next Friday, so there's no plastic there.

There is a rumour of a Tyranid second wave including a plastic Hive Tyrant and Hydra and Tervigon/Tyrannofex, but too early to be sure.
