I have an arachnarok that I'm itching to put together. But I have no idea what color it should be. I want it to really stand out. Do you guys have any good examples?

Well to be honest, I think that the model itself really stands out. Any paintjob will do.

Idea:
I have yellow spray, I was thinking about spraying the top of the legs and abdomen yellow after priming black. This paint is a little darker than GW yellow, so I could dry brush that color on after wards, then a little skull white on all the really high parts. I would of course mask everything besides the legs and abdomen. Thoughts on this?

Yellow could look good, but I think you need another bright color to compliment the yellow and really make it pop. Maybe a neon green or very a bright pink.

So I ended up getting red Army Painter primer and I LOVE IT. After that I used Baal Red wash, and drybrushed Blazing Orange on to everything (only legs done in pic). I won't be spraying it yellow.




All the soft bits will be painted in Tallarn Flesh foundation, washed with Ogryn flesh, and highlighted by drybrushing Elf Flesh. Thinking of going yellow with the eyes.

What do you guys think? What else should I do to it?

Personally i'm not sure about the flesh colour and the red. You could try basing in dehneb stone, washing with leviathan purple and re-highlighting with dehneb stone. It gives a palid tone which would suit the bloated form of the spider.

I like the red with Blazing Orange. It's how I paint my Boodletters of Khorne

The red color is great but I think I agree with Mighty Moj about the flesh color. It would contrast very nicely with red. And I disagree with yellow for the eyes, a darker tone like dark blue or even plain black would be better in my humble opinion.

Sadly, all my time is dedicated to other things, so this guy has been untouched. He's for trade in the swap shop so I can dedicate resources to other stuff :(

Looks pretty solid. Make sure the mouth is particularly drippy, green, and gross.
